I'm thinking about watching Avatar in 3D, but I've heard it's not that big of a deal. Plus you have to wear special glasses and shell out an extra 2,5€. Has anyone seen a 3D movie yet? are they any good?

I watched that Brendan Fraser Journey to the Center of the Earth, in 3D and wasn't really impressed. It may or may not be more effective in a theater though. I don't know since I watched it at home. According to Sigourney Weaver on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson the movie doesn't really have any very specific parts which would make it a pain to watch the old fashioned way. Which I won't claim to be honest truth, since I haven't seen it yet; and my source is a talk show that airs around midnight. . So not like Journey to the Center to the earth whee theres a random camera change so Brendan Fraser can spin a yo-yo at your face. Which is a pointless scene if it's not in 3D. ;p

I haven't seen a 3D movie yet. well, aside from when we were at Disney world in florida. The terminator movie is a attraction at one of the parks there. You watch part of the movie but it also makes you think you are right there and things come out of the screen. I've thought about going to see one now that they keep bringing these movies out in 3D. I wanted to go see Christmas Carol, Jim Carey's new movie in 3D, but I didn't make it there. I think it might be cool to try it one time at least.

Hey there! I don't usually watch movies in 3D but Avatar was an exception. I think it was a pretty good movie and the visual effects were stunning. It was really fun watching it in 3D since the computer graphics were done really well.

3Ds been around for quite awhile. I remember seeing 3D movies at amusement parks when I was little. It's only recently that it's been coming to theaters in full force. I think 3D is just a gimmick. At this point in time the technology isn't advanced enough to make watching a movie in 3D any better than watching it in 2D. Plus I really don't like stuff flying out of the screen at me. I think it's really unnatural.
