Is anyone else experiencing this? I shamefully budgetted out this last paycheck VERY poorly and am finding myself in a bit of trouble with the bank. I've overdrafted both of my checking accounts. I don't know how or why this tends to happen to me so often, but it does. Clearly I need a line of credit or at least a way to make sure that I don't overdraft. Perhaps responsibility and math skills are what I need for scenarios like this.
How often do you overdraft? Is it a regular thing for you? Is your bank lenient on you, and sometimes cover your butt - or do you always get charged that $40 overdraft fee?

Oh my, I overdraft my banking account regularly. It's frustrating and it's always for those tiny little charges that slipped my mind that I got. $4 for ice cream for the kids, or something equally as frivolous and then BAM!! I'm in the whole for $200 bucks!! WHich then takes most of my paycheck, and then I'm playing catch up for the next 2 months!! My bank is never lenient, and my husband works for the bank and they still don't care. I think they make such a pretty penny off us that they get excited and think PAYDAY!! when they look at our account!

Oh it is a tightrope! It is a fine line that I thread when I try to keep up with all of the bills and not get caught with overdraft charges. I've been good though. For this year, I've only been caught once, and that was more than 6 months ago. But, the year isn't over yet. And I am trying to keep my head above water, while I paddle like crazy underneath!
Goodluck to you, I hope you make it until the next paycheck!
