Where did all the H1N1 go?

I meant the virus and the talk about H1N1. After the big urgency about the H1N1 virus a couple of months ago, and the importance of getting everyone vaccinated, I wondered why now it seems it's not so important.
Today, at work I got an email from our HR that they got extra vaccines for free. That if I wanted to get one, even though I did not sign up for one, I could schedule it. I wondered if I am too late.
Should I still get vaccinated? Wouldn't you if you could get it for free and without any line up?

No. I think flu shots are no good. Most of the time they end up giving me the flu. I think so many people have been vaccinated now that the chances of contracting the virus are low.

I was wondering about that game. I fell asleep while watching so I never knew who won. Didn't check the scores this morning because I had to take my mom to the doctor. It's been one of those days. UGH! I hate that for Vancouver. Who do you guys play next?

its disappeared because it was pure hype H1N1 was not a massive killer which people feared it was no more life threatenning than the normal flu that we get every year.
I myself and my kids caught swine flu and it really is no big deal, its just a shame that the public get scared so easily.
So personally live your life and don't worry about flu, we have lived with bacteria and virus's since we were apes

I wouldn't, I'd only get vaccinated for things like errm well all the ones you have as a baby, so I'm done.
Or if someone close to me has some kind of infectious thing that could kill you, I'd get vaccinated against that, but I've survived a few epidemics and I'm fine.

It went the same place all viruses go when they finish their course, where ever that is. this whole h1n1 was nothing but a bunch of bullshytte hype, I said that right on the first day it emerged and well, lol, here we are, with a dieing "pandemic" before our eyes. The world didn't end, millions of people didn't die and we fought off another virus.

I was vaccinated so that I could start work. Without it, I wouldn't be able so start work as the line of work I am in means I sit with the elderly... luckily my gg, but either way...

LOL. It disappeared because the "forces that be" could not keep the myth alive. Not enough people bought the vaccine. No. I wouldn't get the vaccine. Have you done enough research about it? Tamiflu is one of the worst creations ever. Do your research before you decide if it's going to be good for you or not. There is a lot of "crap" associated with it. Lots of side effects. Follow the money trail. See where the whole thing originated. It's all about money, you know.

Thanks for the advice veromar. I've been thinking about it since I've never even had the regular flu shot before. I did get sick once or twice, but not even worth getting the vaccine.
This offer just made me think about getting it because it is free, and HR seems to be intent of disposing the vaccine.

I think it comes from a various experiment. It should not go until we conquer the wrong doing of all experiment.

if you have the choice to get one i'd suggest you to get vaccinatged as soon as possible since that's really dangerous about this H1N1 . here many people paid a lot to buy those vaccines for the health sake. so why do not you want one also? or you fear about the time this vaccines newly come out or something?

Hello bounce, I think the scare has gone down some because we were able to get the vaccine but that doesn't mean that it is completely gone and if I were you I would still get the vaccine because the flu season is still very much upon us as winter just officially arrived a few days ago.
My kids and I were able to get both the regular flu shot and the H1N1 shot in September but my husband was not able to get it because he was not in any of the categories but my kids were able to get because of their ages and I was able to get it because of my diabetes but in November they had a clinic at our local hospital for it and the doctor told my husband because I had a chronic disease he would be eligible and he almost decided against it but I told him he still should because "rather be safe than sorry" and like you said it is free. So YES bounce go get that shot and keep yourself healthy =)

Thanks froggieslover. As it would cost me nothing, just a little bit of time, I might still go. Like you said, winter just officially started, and spring might bring a host of other flu symptoms.
For one thing, I don't like seeing anything going to waste. If these extra shots don't go to other people who might need it more than I do, then I might as well take it.

I have not gotten an H1N1 flu shot yet and do not think I will. If you think you should get one than now that it is free now would be the time. You hear about H1N1 vaccine and some of it was recalled but that is about all I have hear the last month. I think it was just exaggerated a little bit but there are some people who do need the shot and others that do not.

We don't hear much about it anymore here on the news at all. I din't get the vaccine, nor do I intend to. My brother-in-law got H1N1 and was pretty sick, but he has some heart issues going on too.
We had so mnay kids out sick with the flu here in November that they closed our schools for 3 days, no just our school but like 150 schools on our area ended up closing for at least 72 hours. The heath department sent notices home, telling us that unless symptoms included a rash or labored breathing, we shouldn't go to the hospital or dr and just treat the ilness like you normally would the flu..made us all wonder what the hype was about.
I think unless one has some other major health issues gong on, we are pretty certain to recover should we get it.

As one of my resolutions for next year, I plan to be healthy! I will eat healthy, get some more sleep, and even do some dreaded exercises. Uggh!
If I do this, then I don't have to worry about having any complications if I do get any virus. And like you said, I would recover (maybe even fast)!

Well, where I live they're still paranoid about H1N1. People still wear masks, put that product to disinfect your hands quickly before coming into any room, etc. I wish they would stop that already, as the rest of the world has already gotten over it.

It may disappear but it didn't vanish at all. actually,AH1N1 virus can come back anytime. WHO is already getting prepared with the 2nd wave of AH1N1 virus..

Lol, it's just hype.
The flu itself kills millions EACH year. Not H1N1, just the flu.
It's all about boosting the "economy" which in a way is hype in itself.
I personally feel that the "vaccines" seem more dangerous and have more side-effects then the actual disease you're trying to prevent yourself against.
