I used to like waking up on New Years Day & thinking of the whole new year opening up ahead of me but, now that I'm older I wake up and think "Oh, sh!t... that's another year I've messed up!" I'm planning on visiting my son on Boxing Day this year so, assuming it happens, that has to be the one I'm most looking forward to.

I have never really been a fan of New Years day. It has always reminded me of like you said the waste of a year and the fact that soon I will be back at work and the holidays are nearly over.

I used to think christmas day but Now I prefer Christmas eve It's the lead up to christmas and all of the effort people make decorating their houses and making christmas cheerful it is such a nice and happytime.... I enjoy taking my children to look at the chrismas displays.. It just so lovely to see them happy and then on christmas day I really do enjoy seeing their faces light up when they see all the gifts under the tree and then opening them.... I love Christmas......

Christmas Eve is usually the day that I like the most, because that's the day that we celebrate on usually. Otherwise, on Christmas, I don't generally do all that much. We're not religious, so I don't go to church. I usually catch a movie with some of the family, because movie theaters are one of the few things that are actually open on national holidays.
