I know I spend more on food. I have about 4 pairs of jeans and three long sleeve shirts. I go no where to need to buy clothing. So I am good there. I buy food to feed my daughter all the time.

Almost all of us spend like that.Clothes,we buy only at certain intervals but for food we have to spend daily without any fail.We can live without new clothes daily or even we can restrict ourselves to cheap clothes. But we should not be frugal about eating healthier food which is the root of our life.

I think it's food.
Cloths are reusable while food does not.
We can have a pair of jeans, 2 t-shirts, a pair of socks and shoes, etc. And it would suffice for a year or less.
But we cannot have a box of donuts for a year as it wouldn't suffice. We need more than a dozen box of donuts to survive a year.
