Would you spend your Christmas on traveling or rather stay with your family?

Did you see that movie "4 Christmases". A couple rather spend time during the Christmas season on vacation outside of the country, rather spend the precious time with their family respectively.
Actually, I knew some people done that. He would want to go to somehwere, such as Caribbean Island, or South America to spend their quality time on vacation spot, rather than stay home. Probably they don't see Christmas important to them. My friend too, he and his wife probably spend a week at Miami during Christmas over there to catch up their romance I think. What about you? Would you rather at home or somewhere else?

I prefer to stay at home for Christmas. There are two reasons for this: to spend time with my family and to avoid the highest air fares of the year. Because of long trips I have spent two Christmas times overseas. For the first one I was traveling for more than a year. I spent Christmas day on a sunny beach in Queensland. For the second time I was on a dolphin watching trip in the Bay of Islands in New Zealand. In January 2009 I took my toddler son to Cape Town and the Garden Route. I love traveling in the rest of the year but Christmas it a time I like to spend at home.

For me, christmas is celebrated mostly with my church and my church friends.
my parents also spend most of the day with their church friends who are in their age group.
Chinese new year is probably a better approximate to what you are referring to, for me. I would LOVE to travel during chinese new year because all the visiting of relatives really gets to me. before i had my first child, they kept asking when i would. then once i had my first all the relatives ask when's the second coming along? and to those poor unmarried cousins of mine they get bombarded year after year with the question of when they are getting married, as if it's not bad enough that they can't find someone suitable. so definitely would lOVE to get out of the country away from relatives at CNY.

I enjoy being with my loved ones and/or spend time alone during holidays! If I am alone, I would get those things that I enjoy and have the most refreshing time! There is so much for people to do during holidays or weekends; and I have a hard time understanding how anyone gets bored or depressed during holidays. I love holidays and always look forward to them! I hope this Christmas holiday brings you the best in life!

Hi Clorissa, i rather spend more time staying at home with my family during this Christmas season. As i think, this is the only time of the year where we can take a much longer break from work, so spending some quality time with family is a top priority. I haven't tried spending Christmas on traveling, maybe next year i will give it a try and see whether my family likes it or not. As for me, spending time at home can gives me more time to relax from those outdoor stress. Anyway, it depends on each individual preference on how to spend their time during this special occasion. So, Merry Christmas to you, Clorissa.

Hi, Clorissa. I have always spent Christmas at home with the family. I am more comfortable and relaxed to do that. It is always a good time to spend Christmas with the family. If given the chance to celebrate Christmas traveling outside the country, I would still prefer to travel along with my children. I want them to enjoy as much as I would enjoy myself.

I prefer to travel, and that's what I'm going to do this year.
I'm not too much of a family person, neither a christian, so I will enjoy doing some sightseeing and have fun!

I always stay at home with my family. My neighbors are also great!..yes its worth envy, you don't get good neighbors...So we all get together and party! This Christmas we have planned to buy expensive gifts as we have been saving, fearing recession. This Christmas as usual is gonna be great with my family and neighbors.
