I am afraid to sleep Alone. When I am by myself I freak out about every little sound or creek. I belive in ghosts and just go nuts when I am alone. I have trouble sleeping if someone is not right next to me. I usually turn on the tv to make me feel alittle bit at ease. That usually does not last long unfortuatley. I just feel safer when someone is there. To me it's a security thing. I remeber one night I was home all by myself and I was freaking out calling everyone I knew to come over so I would not be alone. I could not get a hold of anyone and stayed up all night with the light on. I had to work the next day I need my sleep but got barely any. It's very fustrating to sleep alone and definetly not fun for me. It's a great feeling just to know someone is there and your not alone.

I've been sleeping with my husband for 33 years now, and if he's ever away from home overnight, I miss him terribly. Like you said, I hear noises that I never noticed while he was there. I've never freaked out and stayed up all night like you have, but I still don't enjoy being home alone at night.

Hi, sbeauty. I am the same way too. When my husband is gone at night and I have the kids with me, I am very scared. I don't like for the kids to make a lot of noise. If they stay quiet, then I can hear any noise around me. But, I enjoy the company when they are awake. I used to tease them by telling them that if someone ever wanted to come in and break in our home, they would never do it because they are so loud. There is no way that someone would be sneaky when they can hear all of the noise that they make. And I am glad for that. My kids feel like my angels when I am scared sometimes.

I am not afraid to sleep alone, but when I was younger I had a time when I was. But time has passed and I realized that if something bad has to happen, it will happen even if I am afraid, even if I am not. So why bother to be afraid? It is useless. So I have an advice for you: try to not worry too much, because if something has to happen, it will happen. But in the majority of nights, nothing happens. Another thing is to get married or find yourself a mate for every night and then everything will be just fine...

Not really, but I am so used to sleeping with people or animals, that it is hard for me to sleep alone. I have four cats and they always sleep with me, and I have a boyfriend, and well, you all know the deal there. Sleep alone is not easy for me to do.

I prefer to sleep alone. I can stretch out across the bed. No one steals the blankets from me. I get to have all of the pillows. I can eat food in the bed or read a book and no one tells me to turn the light off. I never get scared to sleep by myself.

HI tuckersheri I prefer sleep alone than sleep with friend! I also love to sleep in dark condition, turn off all the lamps and without any sounds,,hehehe.. I can move freely while sleeping, and can wake up as soon or as late as I want. I also can turn on my laptop and go online as long as I want without disturb anyone. That's why I prefer sleep alone. I can't sleep well if there's someone beside me!

I can sure sleep alone, but not after seeing a TV show about ghosts in a haunted house. It claims that there are ghosts in every house, but they haunt only when people are alone. So that freaked out me and ever since, I have been sleeping with my brother!

Yes I'm afraid to sleep alone when I was a little girl. But, now... Of course not! I'm not afraid. When I sleep, I always believe in GOD. I know, God always will protect me when I'm sleeping. So, why you still afraid if you have God in your side. Right?

I've got the same problem as you. I believe in ghost and I'm afraid to close my eyes in the dark, some ghost may come. When my brother sleeps in the other bed (we live in the same room, 2 beds.) I don't have any problem at all. But he is not always home. What I do? Well, it's a bit stupid. I "open" the window so the night light can enter my room, and if it's a dark day I turn a small light on. You can buy lights like that somewhere, they're cheap. But I'm getting used to sleep alone, even in the dark. I just put music on, and put myself under the blankets and do a little hole and put my nose there so I can bread. It's really stupid, but it works. If your problem is ghosts, it's really easy, salt. Yeah, ghost can't cross a line of salt, just put a line of salt in your door and windows. (in your room) Or just keep a bit of salt with you, it takes away ghost. Hope I helped my friend, happy MyLoting to everyone.

Hello! I don't like sleeping alone. I live with my boyfriend who sometimes has night shifts so I have to stay and sleep alone. I don't like sleeping alone, I got scared of every small noise but I have a dog. So at nights he jumps in my bed and then we sleep together :) But sometimes my dog has to go to the night shifts as well so then I have to stay home alone and that I don't like...I try to watch TV not think bad thoughts and try to fall asleep fast :) sometimes helps :) !!!

I've never been afraid to sleep alone. Even when I was a child, it never bothered me to sleep in my own bed in my own room. My room when I was growing up was the attic of an old house and whenever it was windy I would hear all kinds of creaks and noises. The one thing that did cross my mind was that we have a huge tree in front of our house, and watching the tree sway with the wind I would think if the tree fell over onto the house, I could be smushed... But then I would just go to sleep.

I sleep alone every night, so I can say with confidence that I'm not "afraid" to sleep alone. Unless I'm in a place that's kind of scary - or when it's raining. But I usually have my cats who cuddle with me when I sleep (which sounds more pathetic than it is, trust me), so I never feel all THAT lonely. I think, from a few previous experiences, that I enjoy sleeping alone much more than I do with other people. Friends, boyfriends, family members..whoever. Each different person has a different sleeping habit or quirk that just.. gets on your nerves, to be truthful! Snoring, hogging the blankets, kicking, sleep-walking, etc. I'd rather sleep by myself and without any distractions.

Nope, I would be okay with sleeping by myself in a room or any apartment building. I just am used to it. I guess I am not one of those believers in ghosts or demons coming to attack you. I am just fine sleeping alone as long as everything around me is locked down and no one can interrupt me.

I am not afraid to sleep alone no matter where I am or even when I just sit down I can sleep. I am not afraid of being alone living in a house or a motel. I only feel safe with my immediate family & trusted true friends but it doesn't mean thatI ont feel safe being alone.

I hate sleeping alone. I just hate the dark, and all the creepy noises that go on. I guess I have watched one too many horror movies. I thought maybe it would make me conquer my fears but really it just made me twice as scared. I may purchase a puppy soon to keep me company, as I can't count on a guy to keep me company. That's too promiscuous for me.
