how can you teach the heart to trust again when you already did it before?

trust is really important in all kinds of relationship. i trust my friends, i trust my family, i trust my co workers but it just came to the point one of them betrayed me. I trust my boyfriend but every time we're fine there's an argument that awaits us then i will find out he did something bad, here we go again saying sorry then forgive after another issue here comes another one,now I'm not sure if i can trust him anymore i can see he's trying not to do it again but i don't know makes me feel crazy..how could you handle a heart that is scared to trust?
