Is good memory a problem?

people often say, "if I had your memory, I would be somewhere else" yes,it's true,good memory is always an asset, it's always considered as a key for success, but sometimes it poses serious problems too.I cannot forget the things, the people, the incidents which I want never to reminded of, or be associated with,I have tried various ways, to wipe them out, but in vain so,what do you recommend?
