Admiring from a distance...

Have you ever admired someone from a distance or do you know of a person who has admired you from a distance? Have you ever just liked someone that you were never really close to and never had the guts to go up and talk to them? Do you know anyone who was like that with you too? Did your admirer ever reveal themself to you or did they leave their identity unknown?

Yes it often happens, there was a colleague of mine whose brother was so unlike him. he always talk about his brothers having affairs and so many girl friends etc. But it thought he is lying , but once we were going somewhere and we saw him in another car , waiting for the light to turn green and he was so dashing and so good looking , I said to myself anybody can fell in love with him.

I'll never be admired from a distance but I know all to well the feeling of the person doing the admireing, haha. But I'm too much of a chiken to actually do anything so I tend to just hope the feeling will go away. (Plus, I think I'm too young for getting too serious with anyone haha)

Haha, I never thought I would be admired from a distance either, until a few weeks ago, so you never know =D You maybe actually have an admirer out there that you don't know about ^-^ I know the feeling of admiring someone from a distance too, but I think if I had a chance, I would probably tell him that I'm interested in him but also that I want to be friends first before anything. It'd probably be hard to tell him but I want to end up letting him know =] Haha, I know what you mean by being too young. I'm your age too and I feel somewhat young for being in relationships even though I know some people that have dated ever since they were in elementary school!! Haha, well thank you for your response =D

Once I had an admirer. I had never noticed him, until one day a friend of mine became friends with him and she introduced us. A few nights later he got drunk in the pub that we all usually went to and confessed all. He said he knew a lot of things about me, and when he was telling me which things I was a little scared, I felt as if I had been stalked. However, I think if I was in the same situation I would like to know more about that person too.

Nope I have not experience yet admiring someone not known by her. I usually do all possible moves to win her attention if the distance is not too far to reach.

Ah, I see. You're very brave for being able to take action. I don't think I would be able to do that until I feel like I'm ready to tell him my feelings. Thank you for sharing =D

I remember there was a time when I am receiving love letters from someone I don't know...but that was history, during my early school days.. I can't call it love though :) But there was one girl who sent me flowers and fruits not to mention the card with a "get well soon" message in my dormitory when I was sick and did not attend my class. I have no idea that she was into me. Sadly, I don't like her.. but what she did was damn special. I wonder where she is now..

Haha, me too! That's how I came to think of this discussion. It made me curious of other peoples' experiences from not just people that we admire from a distance but also our admirers =D Thank you for sharing =]

I like to think that I have several admirers from a distance. Mostly because I am severely lacking in admirers from closer than 20 feet... I wonder why that is? I suppose it depends how you define "distance". I've admired - loved, even - from a distance before, in that I never made the object of my affections aware of my feelings. It was a mistake...

By distance, I mean not letting the other person know of the feelings and usually not knowing the other person too well either, but thank you for your thoughts and feelings =D

Yes I have a friend, funny story, had a person admire her from a distance. It was after she brought him to this event. Keep in mind that they haven't seen each other since younger years, so after this event, he felt close to her and actually had affection for her because of the thing she was doing. Of course it's weird, but it's so sweet. True love...haha

Wow!! Really? What a coincidence!! I went through something very similar to that too! In fact, I had an admirer too that I met up with after so many years. One day, about a week or so after we met. I texted him to ask him how he was doing. He told me a few texts later that he liked me and it was because we hung out a few weeks before. Wow, what a coincidence!! We have a lot in common. Maybe we should be friends on MyLot? Thank you for your response!!

this reminds me of my high school days.i really admired one guy who became my friend, but didn't tell him what i felt.i guess he just don't like me,and i'm afraid to move when he is there.but other friends of ours used to tease us.and i know reality is,he really don't like me til now, ever! but past is past.we can never force someone to love us back.it's just admiration or wanting to be "us" but impossible.cause there's no such thing called love if it is only one sided, right?
