Do you put your cellphone near your body? Do you believe that the radiation of the cellphone would harm your body?
I have seen many people like to put their cellphone near their body, like in the pocket of the pants, at the waist, on the chest. My dad was a good example. He always put his cellphone near his right waist, a pocket on his belt. After 2 years, he suffered from colon cancer and it was the place where he put his phone. He had a surgery cutting 10 inches of his colon. He is in heaven now as the cancer came back one year after the surgery. There are studies, too, that women who often hang their cellphone on their chest would be much much easier to have breast cancer. As a result, the growth of the breast cancer rate in Hong Kong is tremendous. I think it is time for us to being alert. Life is important to anyone of us. Health is even more essential when we want a happy life.
Wishing you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I agonyaunt,
I am sorry to listen about your father. I am joining to your sorrow and offering prayers to him.
There are many problems reported with the use of cell phone. In fact all are neglecting the bad effects and using the same according to their convenience. I think it is high time to put a full stop to our negligence to the health concern. We should make necessary steps for our good health. I don’t have the habit of hanging the cell phone in body. I am keeping the same in my bag and most probably I am making calls from land phones. There is minimum usage by cell phone in my case. But I know many are talking through cell phone for hours. Hope they will realize the problem and take care about their health.

Hi Sreekala,
Thank you for your response and praying for my father. He would be very glad to know it.
There is always bad and good in one thing. Therefore, we got to find the balance of it. Sometimes it is hard for someone as they already get use to the convenience that the cellphone brings to them. I am the one who do not like to chat on the cellphone but I will bring it when going out. All the wireless phone has higher radiation.
Have a nice day.

I am sorry about your father. My prayers for him.
I think the constant radiation does affect us. The fact about losing tympanum and ear drum and losing the perception of hearing is proven. Recently, I do not quite like talking on phone. After a while it starts to pain and I hang up. I usually keep the phone beside me on inside my purse. While at home, I keep in over the closet. I never quite hang it on my body.

Hi mimpi1911,
Thank you for your response and praying for my father. I trust that he lives in peace in heaven.
I don't like talking on any wireless phone as it causes headache. However, cellphone is a need when going out as I am living in Hong Kong, the business world. I try not using it to chat but only important things.
Have a nice day!

I try to keep it at a distance, but most of the time I am fiddling around with it and playing games haahaa.. The computer gets so slow, that I start fiddling around till the browser takes time to load a site.
But, when I go to sleep I switch it off and keep it on the table. So there is a little distance, but I guess that's good enough. I am not sure how far should I keep it away from me.

ohmygosh, I've heard of the damages cellphones can do to you but I've never paid much attention to it. I'm really sorry for your loss but I thank you for sharing your story. I will be more careful the next time I place my cellphone too close to me. Happy Holidays & May your father forever Rest In Paradise

I believe this with every breath I take that the cell phone is not good for us. My contract is up in January and I'm getting rid of it. I can't keep the phone to my ear for any length of time without pain happening. So I need to speak to everyone on speaker. I heard of another man who was on the Doctor Oz show where he had his phone to his ear all the time for 20 years he ended up with a brain tumor on the same side he used his phone. So there is a definitely connection and people really need to be aware of this. Especially the younger kids you when they turn 20 will have had a phone for probably 10 or more years. It will come out one day once they see alot more people getting sick. I wish people would wake up and realize. However, they probably won't take it serious. Look at people who still smoke, perfect example.

I think men mostly do that as they have their pockets weer they put their cell phones and other accessories. most of them either not know the hazards of doing that or they dont give any importance to the caution.
I keep my cell phone in my bag and so a bit far from my body.

You know what, I was just watching a show, Dr. OZ, and they were talking about this very thing! There was a huge debate about cell phones and cancer and come to find out, there actually is a link! I mean more males are at risk because of the cellphones being near our waist on a belt buckle or pocket, but less women are vulnerable because they carry bags and purses which they usually attach the phone to.
Now, of course, we're all at risk because we use the phone, and then the blue tooth ear piece adds to the risk, that's more radiation from the signals added on top of what the phone itself gives off! So they say use a regular earpiece and not to carry the phone near the body while it's on, but then that defeats the whole purpose in having it in the first place, right? But, sleeping with the phone near you, I'm guilty, but my phone is off now so I'm clear so far.. But I do have a wireless home phone, which still gives off cancer causing signals

I have heard similar things. I usually ignore such things. But I really do not know where to keep it if not in my pocket. Since I have no option, I put it in my pocket and can only pray that nothing will happen to me due to the radiation. Thank you for bringing it to our notice. There are many people who do not know the effects of radiation from our cellphones. They can take precautionary measures and can protect themselves.

Hello agonyaunt69. Sorry to hear about your father.
Thank you for all the information, including the ones who posted a response here. I have been keeping my celphone in my pocket for years now. I think I started when I got my first small celphone in year 2000 (microtac not included). I've heard this discussion then, and then they said that it affects reproducing. I already have 2 kids since then, so I did not heed the warning.
About 2 years ago, I was given a company cellphone. I did not give up my personal one, so I have 2 in my pocket right now. I know that this must not be good, so maybe next year I will start getting them off my body. Thanks.

I don't know if cellphones can be the source of health problems or not. In my case I always keep my phone in my bag, but never in my pockets. Is because is easier to find inside my bag and I have a pocket specially to keep something the size of a cell phone.

I really don't like to sleep with any electronics near me or in my room. I do believe in the bad electric charges going into your body. It could even give you cancer, the negative electricity running through your body. It's bad feng shui to have electronics to have in your room or where you rest, it's a known fact. Cell phones have been linked to increasing risk of brain cancer so why would you want one near you more then it has to be?
