Do you use chapstick all the time or just during a certain season?

I usually keep a tube of chapstick especially in the winter. I am thinking almost everyone I know uses it. I use it mostly in the winter. I do use it during other seasons too but I use a lot during this time of year. Do you use it all the time? What kind do you like?

I usually use lip smacker of some kind! During the winter I use Blistex if I am out alot because my lips get sore. In the summer I keep lip stuff on them most of the time just because I am in the habit and like to have some lubricating on them at all times. Its mostly a habit then.

To be honest, my granddaughter and daughters get stuff at the store and then offer me the ones they don't care for or think I will like. Just something to keep my lips soft.

I was really bad about not using any when I was younger, now I use it occasionally, more so when my lips get chapped, no matter the season... Though winter and summer seem to be the worst.

Hey Jen! I hate chapstick! I just don't like the "taste" or
feel of it! I will use lip gloss or anything else, but not
chapstick! I try any other brand of stuff like Carmax, but
just not chapstick! I have always hated that stuff! I think
it also has something to do with the fact that my father always
used it and I hated him too! But, it tastes like wax! Yuk!

I used to use chapstick ALL the time. It was crazy. Years ago I stopped using it on my lips and now I use it on my nose. Whenever I have a cold (every 5 years or so)I would put chapstick on my nose everytime I blew it with a tissue so my nose would not be red and raw. It works so beautifully. It's just one of my many secrets! Chapstick is a lot less messier than Vaseline.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!

My little girl would get really red cheeks in the winter and her grandmother would put chapstick on her cheeks when she would come visit..lol..I didn't know it until one day my daughter gingerly put it on her lips and then dabbed her own cheeks! It is alot easier to use than vasoline but I have used vasoline too. I'll have to try it in my nose if I get a cold. Take care.

Hi Jenin, I do keep one in my bag all through the year. But I hardly use it except on rare occasions when I am forced to. My mom uses the white gel all the time. I think, it got into a habit. It comes in handy though while traveling. I prefer the moisturiser, white variety to the gel one.

Since you name it, even I use Nivea my mom use vaseline. I have a friend who and her whole family including the kids are so obsessive to the use of chapsticks! My mom is not that bad.

Hi Jen. I pretty much use it any time of the year. And it seems there's always one in my purse, just in case I need it. Though I don't usually use it unless I go somewhere.
Happy mylotting!
PS I like cherry.

I rarely use chapstick any time other than in winter. My daughter on the other hand needs it pretty much year round. She gets this spot on her upper lip that starts to peel all the time. I really have to keep her lips greased up with chap stick. This week I started using a cocoa butter stick instead of chapstick and it seems to be working better.

I use it a lot, I guess when the wind is blowing it dries out my lips. I have a stick of Carmex that I've used for years. My kids think I'm weird but when I put it on their lips they start fanning them because it stings. After that I let them give me a kiss and I tell them how soft their lips are.

Good morning Jen, i very seldom ever use chap stick not that i don't need to sometime. I usually just put moistirizer on my lips when i put it on my face every morning. Don't get to pucker much[well really not any] so it's no big deal, lol.

I use Uncle Bens chapstick it seems to be the best for me, I have to use it all year. I have become allergic to so many other products that I was very glad when he came out with colored lip glosses.

Hello Jenin..we seldom use chopstick because on the first place I am not an expert user of chopstick. We used to have spoon and fork but never on chopstick... cheers!

I tried to use them when I went to Japan but they are very hard to use. The best way that I can describe what I'm having this discussion about is the waxy stuff you use on your lips to keep them from being chapped. Here it is called chapstick.

I use chapstick just about all the time. Most of the time, I wear either lipstick or lip gloss. My lips stay so dry whatever the season is. They seem to be worse in the winter, though. I like the strawberry flavored or cherry flavored ones. I like the plain chapstick, too. Kathy.

I like the flavored ones too. I bought my Nivea brand thinking that it was cherry flavored and it was, but it was also colored. Kept my daughters out of it because they just like the clear brand. They aren't allowed to wear much "color" anyway. Take care and thanks for the response.

Hello jen, we keep chapstick around all year but we usually only end up using it in the winter time when the air gets drier...my family has a bad habit of licking our lips while the wind blisters off of it so then we all walk around with red rings around our lips...you would think we would learn one of these years LOL
