Well yesterday when I went to watch AVATAR with my friends, we were waiting for show timings and during that period we went to have some snacks and their when I was paying the bills my friend noticed that I was using wallet given by him on my last birthday, then he commented, "You are still using this wallet?" Well I was just confused after his question. Why he asked me such question, then I replied him, "Why?" He was asking me that question because it was almost one year for this gift. Then I explained that their was no such expiry date on that wallet and it was still fine and so I never thought of changing it. So will you keep your wallet for long time or you will change it after certain amount of time??

As with many items I own, I do not change my wallet until it is absolutely necessary! When the wallet is falling apart and can't function as it was intended to function is when it will be replaced! Part of society's problem is the need to have everything 'new' and that is contributing to so much waste, use of non-renewable resources and much more! I think back to those who came before us and they didn't use half the resources as we did. We are ruining the Earth for those who will come after us.

Hi rakesh284 I'm the same type as your friend. Until now, I still have and wear wallet from 8 years ago. I don't see the problem, wallet is something that can't expire for me, as long as it is still in good condition, there's no whole and still has enough room for my money and cards, I'll use it. Besides, I don't understand how can a wallet get damage. Mine already 8 years old and it still look new. I mean, we only put it in our pocket or bag, so how can a wallet tear apart or damage? I've ever see that kind of wallet and I wonder what the owner do until his wallet damage like that. I choose basic color like grey or blue jeans wallet. Still use them until now

This is a very interesting question. When I read this post, I realized that it is the perfet time for me to change my own wallet. I am currently using a leather wallet, and I know that I should buy another leather wallet soon. I love leather becuase it looks elegant, and it matches all of the bags that I have. I believe that there is no such thing as to when is the perfect time to buy a wallet. As long as they still fascinate you, then there is no reason for you to buy a new one.

I seldom change wallet because it is not so necessary in my opinion. As long as my wallet can work, then I don't have a plan to change it. I prefer to use this money for something else. I don't mind using old wallet. I love China

Not very often in fact I haven't used a wallet in a quite a while and I generally just keep my license and money and stuff in my pockets. It kind of sucks sometimes though because stuff can fall out of your pockets easily and you can lose stuff pretty easily as well.

Well, I do as their are wallet who are lucky which bring good luck and wallet which even new always have no money on it. So I prefer to use old and worn wallet which have a lot of money and the one I am comfortable in using it rather than to change completely to brand new and yet it never match in my need and my personality do not like its style. I find nothing wrong in using old a wallet as long as it is not totally damage and still reusable. I do not look at the appearance of the wallet but what inside is what appeal then to me..

I use a wallet until it has holes in it or the zipper or snaps are broken. I see no reason to change my wallet if there is nothing wrong with it. I also do not change my purse if there is nothing wrong with it either.

Hello rakesh284 and me too like to have an wallet till it is worn out, means get out of use, or some damage to its body.Well but atleast have to change my wallet once in a year or so, sometimes it is more than one in a year.Mostly mine wallet goes on for an year as don't stuff too much cash in it, and use it only for outdoors. But many a time it happens because of change cash, our wallet worn out because of it, but still its necessary in transactions. But i don't throw away the worn out wallet, but use to keep on till the year end.Even me too like to carry cash in wallet than in pockets.Happy mylotting.

I still use the liz clairborne wallet I bought two years ago at Marshalls. I usually don't buy another wallet until one I am using is very worn out with the pockets starting to rip. I think your friend should be glad you are still using the wallet but that's just me lol. Happy mylotting!

I have a few wallets too. Some I just keep at home and store stuff and don't use them that much. I have one that I use pretty much everyday for storing cash and cards. Its been with me for a long time and is pretty new with no rips or damage. My wallet will have to be pretty damage and worn out before I would get a new one.

I really can't remember how many wallets I have owned because it surely is more than 30 times already. But dont get me wrong, I am not addicted to buying new ones every now and then. actually, it is my sister who changes her wallet very often and gives me everything she won't be using anymore. I guess that makes me very lucky. hehehe :D

I also received a wallet as gift and i'm still using it as of this time. The person who gave it to me was even happy to see that i'm actually using her gifts. I have other wallets which i bought but i still prefer to carry the one that was given to me as a gift. Cheers!

I plan on keeping the wallet I have until I can't use it anymore, and I've already had this one for 4-5 years. I don't like having to learn where to put everything in a new wallet, so I just keep using the one I already have. I have a place for everything in my wallet, and everything stays in it's place.
