Have you ever wondered how our environment affects/influences us?
I don't know about you guys, but I think that everything around us, all our friends, family, what we do, the people around us, all influence us and shape the person that we are today.
What do you think? Do you think that's true? Do you think that our environment influences us that much or do you think it's mostly in our genes that shapes us to become the person we are today? How do you think the environment affects us? How do you think our genes affect us?

I found this topic really interesting during my Child Development class, too bad I forgot most of what we learned =( Something that I remember though, is a study on Twins that were adopted seperatly. Years later, when they were adults, researchers found that they had many similarities. Although I think genetics has a big effect, environment also plays a big part in how a person. I think I would have to say they are both equal. This a really interesting topic, it makes me wanna go back and look over my notes again =)

Yeah, I took psychology when I was in highschool and I forgot a lot of what I learned for this nature vs nurture debate =/ It's very interesting though how they both affect us. Haha, well thank you for your response =D

Yes. I absolutely believe that the environment, people, and what we do shape us into who we are today. But also at the same time genes have some affect too. But that can change. Both play an important role in shaping who we are but I believe that the environment has MORE influence because we are constantly surrounded by it. We become who and what we surround ourselves with.

Yeah, I believe that we are influenced by both to some extent which varies from person to person. Thank you for sharing =]
