I can have a regular dinner, however before i go to bed I often eat some food. My friend often suggest that i should not eat at night, especially before sleeping, they say you can eat more fruits. I eat fruits however it is not enough. If I do not eat something I am not easy to sleep, always think of hungry. I am looking for some healthy food or adjust my eating time. Do you often eat food before sleep? How do you deal with it?

Yes this is actually not a good habit and we should avoid eating before sleeping. But unfortunately even I have this habit that even after having my full dinner I get hungry at night time and do keep on munching something or other while working at late nights. I love eating and reading books while sleeping, I know that it does not make sense of brusihing my teeth at night and again eating after that, but really can't help it. It is nothing that I am not comfartable in sleeping if I don't eat, but this has became a habit for me . Trying to get rid of it, but frankly speaking not trying that much hard. But really need to think on this as this will not be a good thing in longer run.

I will eat a snack like a cup of tea with cookies or cake but it will be 2 to 3 hours before going to bed. Eating and then laying down is the worse thing you can do to yourself. You can end up with heartburn and having food backup to your throat which will then burn your esophagus and can eventually scar the tissue down in your throat.

I don't eat before going to sleep. I see to it that I finish my dinner before 10:00 A.M. and there is at least 3 hours of gap before I fall asleep. I let the food get digested first.
There must be a gap of three hours before you sleep at night after food. You can have a proper dinner but, not a heavy one. You must keep your stomach half empty. But yea, eating just a fruit salad at night is also a good option. I enjoy that very much as well.

Hi, kevinll. Yes, I do eat before I sleep. Sometimes, I can't sleep because I am so hungry. My stomach will not let me rest. If I eat it is usually something light, like a sandwich. I never try to eat anything that is too heavy on my stomach. If I do it could make my body unable to rest like I want to. I guess the reason why your friend told you to eat fruits because it is like, and it won't make you put on extra unwanted pounds. Fruits does not have that many calories.

Its not a Good habit to eat before sleep,
Since you are feeling hungry and need food,
You can take, The real problem is that the food you take won't get digested.
If you are capable of doing that, then I don't think it as a problem.
But you cannot be able to maintain this when you get older, beware of that
