Guys.............. last night i was watching Sportscenter on ESPN when i heard them saying that this is the most open EPL season ever............. with teams like Tottenham , Fulham are in contention for the title............ ok i can undrstand Aston Villa is in title contention along with Manchester City ............ if they don't all there big spending will be a waste.............. but no way Fulham is in contention of the title............... just because they have beaten Man U u can't get them in title contention.............. what do u think guys??????????????

Without doubt this is one of the most open EPL for a long long time. For starters the top 4 clubs are loosing. Liverpool is loosing so much that they are now not even sure of the CL spot. The next range clubs i.e. Aston Villa, Man City and Tottenham have learnt to win in all conditions and are now posing a real threat to the big clubs. The relegation sides are putting up sides that are difficult to beat and hence are ensuring that there are no easy games this season.
So yes, in the last decade or so when I have been following EPL, this is the most open race.
Cheers!

Ya ............ i can understand the case of Aston Villa and Man city................... bt Tottenham nd Fulham r not in title contention.......... Aston Villa for last few seasons r constantly featuring in top 5 nd Man city ..... if they dont get CL spot............ They should leave football.............. bt Fulham and Tottenham r not in title contention............... fluks like that against Man U happens 1ce in a seasn...............

Tottenham will definitely make a difference this season. Also, never forget the success of their manager; Harry Redknapp. He will make it Top Four. Although am Die-hard Gunners and Tottenham Fans

I do not think so. It could happen but every season the same is said and nothing of that sort happens. This time Aston Villa and Tottenham are looking good but Chelsea ManU and Arsenal are much stronger. Manchester City has a good side but they are weak in defense.
I thought they would make to the top three.

See MAn city is top heavy.................. they have strong attack nd midfield bt worse defence................ bt nothing can be pridected........... Aston Villa is really going strong and can cause a bit of upset to go into top 3.............

Open EPL Season?
Well, watching the number of lose game for each team, yes, it is most crazy season I ever saw also. Manchester United have lost 5 times, Chelsea have lost 3 times, Liverpool have lost 7 times, and it's not even half of the season yet. Mix it up with African Cup next January (which means some teams will lose their player), the race will be more interesting.
For title bid, I think it is up to Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal to keep their consistencies. If Aston Villa can keep their game like their last 2 games, then it is just matter of time until Aston Villa snipe for CL spot.
I still support Manchester United of Course!!

They have really been consistent over the last couple of seasons........................... and yes with African nations cup in jan............ teams like chelsea will suffer the most............. then it will be more intresting..................

I don't think Fulham are remotely challenging for the title. I also think it extremely unlikely that any team other than Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United will win the league this season.
But I do agree that it's the most competitive league for a while - there are a good few teams who might finish third, or fourth. (Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Aston Villa... Oh, and Liverpool. Maybe. )
It's also competitive at the bottom, with Wolverhapmpton Wanderers jumping from the bottom three to 12th after a win against Burnley and just seven points separating the top and bottom half of the league.
I think it's much more interesting than the usual procession!

ya ................ bottom halve competition is much more than top halve............. only 6 points seperates the last 8 teams........... but i can u 1 thing............... if something special doesn't happen to liverpool............. they may even get demoted to the 2nd league.................
