Do you forget the discussion you had thought of starting at mylot?

I think of a new topic and a good discussion. However I put it off for a few minutes till I finish responding to the discussions I have opened. After I have finished responding, I forget my topic and discussion. Then I feel like kicking myself for not writing down the discussion.

HI Vanillarey,
It used to happen to me previously. So what I do now is open a notepad and write down the basic theme of the topic. Then after finishing all my responses and comments I get back to that notepad and then elaborate the discussion and finally copy paste it on mylot.
I also do this, when I feel that I should wait a little before starting a discussion. Maybe I had started a discussion in a day and another one has come to my mind. So I put it off in a notepad and get back to it the next day.
Have a nice day.

Yes!, this happens to me all the time. Usually went I'm going to bed or in the morning I'll think of a great discussion but then when I get on the computer I forget about MyLot all together. When I go on MyLot again I'll think "Didn't I have a great idea for a discussion" and I'll think and think but I won't be able to think about a good topic to discuss.

I've done that before too! I think of a discussion when I'm reading another one or answering one and then I promptly forget it! It's aggravating, isn't it?! Take heart you're not the only one! LOL

This is a regular happening with me. While working in the kitchen, trying to sleep, sitting in the bus or autorikshaw, why so, even in bathroom, I think of some discussions. It will be so fresh in my memory and I will be over confident that I will never forget it. When I sit before computer, I totally forget the topic. I curse myself for not writing down at least one word about it.

yes i forget discussions i want to start on mylot all the time. It's ok though but there really good questions haha something no one ever asks i'm like so random so i'm good at making questions. I usually ask them for free on yahoo answers but yahoo answers took away most of my random ness because its hard for me to think of questions sometimes. I can't believe i stayed on yahoo answers for free and didn't get paid haha. I just like giving advice and seeing my best answer increase everyday, fun! I like it better here though

I'm new, and I've been finding this increasingly true!
I'm trying to only post successful topics, and every time I have an idea, and do some research on whether its been done before.. get sidetracked.. and then forget! hah.
Hopefully I'll learn the groove of myLot soon.. I'm stuck on $0.02 so far!

I have done this several times and then finally learned to write it down. I get side tracked so easily with calls or emails. Sometimes I write it down, read it later and don't like my ideas so I never start the discussion on the particular topic I thought would be good.

Yep, it happens to me. The worst is when I think of one at night. I almost never remember the next morning.

I used to do that but when something strikes me I write it down and then tweak it later if I want to add something.

You know I had that very same thing happen to me several times. Finally I started a notepad when I go online and write my ideas or subjects whenever they come to me. Then I wade through them to see which ones i will actually use. I hated losing ideas until I came up with this new plan.

It has happened to me a couple of times. I sometimes get good ideas when I am doing something away from the computer and by the time I get there I have forgotten! I have ideas saved on a document on my laptop but there are so many buried in the recesses of my brain which I may never get to use. Carrying a note book may be the answer...

Hello my friend VANILLAREY Ji,
So nice of you for your positive discussion. I also undergo such feelings. There was a time, when I always used to carry my paper and pen to immediately write down in order to avoid to forget. Even during local travelling in a bus, I used to write, as many thought generate in our minds. At times, when we are making responses/comments, we come across. I think, best way is to write down and elaborate them later.
May God bless You and have a great time.

oh gosh I don't think I could remember my first discussion oh those many years ago. It is just too long ago. I have a very bad memory now. I don't even know what I did five minutes ago lol.

I just did that, Vanillarey! Just within the past 5 minutes! I thought it would be a clever discussion but I said, "Wait, I'll just answer one more" and now it has slipped my mind. Like you, I could have written it down in a note to do later.
Coulda,

I don't write down amy ideas I come up with either, but I really should write them down, as I don't come up with all that many ideas, as it is hard to think of anything that others will be interested in responding to. That is the hardest part of it all. I really don't start all that many discussions for that very reason. I just can't seem to come up with good enough topics that others would be interested in responding to, and since I can't do that, I figure I wouldn't bother with it. I think, though, I might start writing my ideas down so I don't forget them, and then when I have enough to start a discussion, then I will be able to. I just find it easier to post responses than discussions, so that is what I mainly do. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
