With the current Liverpool form.............. do u guys think they will secure a CL spot............. this season........... or do they even deserve it.......... Especially after there show against the lowly Portsmouth.................... going down 2-0 with Torres playing...................

I do not think, they stand any chance of winning the Champions League spot. Their performance is going down with every match. They seem to have forgotten how to win.
I am not saying I am very sorry about it, but still it is very upsetting to see a really good side lose their focus like this and performing so poorly.

Not focus..................... Xavi Alonso was there playmaker.......... after his deperture to Madrid there is no playmaker in there team.............. And Gerrard is growing old................... and is unfair to expect him to win every other match for them................ and without them they are nothing more than a second grade team...............

I agree with you but still they have players like Carraghar and Torres. The problem is that Gerrard and Torres have been a little off form and that is costing them dearly. This is the duo, they rely upon the most and they are not firing. That is why Liverpool are having so much trouble off late.

Carragarh nd Benayoun are good players ............. bt no way can u compare them with the likes of Xavi Alonso............... and the replacement of Alonso ........... Aqualini is nothing bt and average player............ So it all falls upon Gerrard and Torres.............. and it seems Gerrard is over his prime like Torres..................... So better luck with ur Liverpool.................. God save them..............

If the team don't buy anything in January. I Doubt it. Liverpool are not the same team they were before, they lack quality, their defence is average Carragher is old face it, Skrtel is too inexperience, midtables team make their live impossible, they suffer a lot, their midfield appart from Gerrard and Masherano are average too, Torres is their prime star but he can't do it all. But the main reason is becuase right now, there are better team in the Premiership than liverpool that's the true, Man City, Aston villa are much better teams.

i'm not sure liverpool can secure can their position in champion league. now the condition is too bad for liverpool. but everything could be happen in this game. who knows.....

Looking at Liverpool's current situation, Champions League qualification for next season looks quite bleak. They haven't done well enough this season in the CL and their predicament in the league doesn't make for good reading at all.
Being beaten by bottom side Portsmouth last week showed how low the team was on morale. But I wouldn't write them off completely for now. Its only christmas time right now. If Rafa can go to the market and bring in some quality (I don't expect it to happen though), Liverpool can get themselves out of this mess. Also, if Aquilani is played more regularly and cements his place in the startig 11 then you never know.
Having said all this, I still think Liverpool's position right now is too bad considering they're fighting 3 teams (villa, spurs, city) for the CL spot as compared to Arsenal last year only having to fight Villa. Liverpool do have a chance of making it, but I still fear the worst for their fans.

U my friend seems like a liverpool fan..................... because u r still hoping that they will get a CL spot next year................... i don't want to say this but i have to say it that its more or less impossible for them to get a CL spot next year............... And regarding Aqualini............. if Rafa thinks he would be a good replacement of Xavi then he is wrong.................. but yeah if he can get some good players in the jan transfer window then he can salvage some thing this season........... like a Europa cup berth next season..............

I think Liverpool will definitely secure a champions league spot this season... Liverpool is one of the big four of Epl.... Liverpool is just going through a rough patch and its only half the season..... still 20 games are left and liverpool is 6th and the 4th spot is not too far.

I'm not sure if KOP can secure top four. After the Christmas, everthing will be cleared up. Liverpool is now under a quite subtle dilemma that he lost too many points on the small tems and the worst in the "Big Four". Still Liverpool is in the outflank by ManCity, Aston Villa and Hotspur. If i'm Rafa, i'll wise enough to give up the current European games and concentrate in the leagues.

See .....its high time for Rafa o leave the thought of CL berth next season............... that's impossible with the current form of liverpool............... and if u ask me they dont deserve it............... teams like Man city , Aston Villa, nd Hostpur nd even to some extent Fulham deserve CL spot............... let us see them fight for the 4th spot...........
