Does love mean for all eternity?

I have a lot of strong feelings for a girl.. and.. they're such deep feelings.for she's honestly my best friend. But we're together, as in relationship.. and i honestly have never been happier. She's been the highlight of my year. I have such deep feelings for her inside that are far beyond like or crush. nearly the L word, which is a scary thing. And i almost think, I know i have these feelings inside.. that might just be love..but i can't say them yet. But if it did come to a point where i truly did feel love, and I told her,would that mean we'd last forever? IS love supposed to mean forever? I never would want to leave her.. because it's almost as if she's a part of me. I honestly think i may just love her. But does that mean eternity? because i have so much life ahead of me. But, she seems to make it all freeze. So tell me friends, is it true that love nesssacarily means forever, kindas marriage the whole enchilada? Or is love.. is love being with her because i love her and i've never been happier. "isn't it better to be in love for just a short amount of time, then to be just OK for the rest of your life?" so i'm asking you, if i did in the future reveal these feelings to her-would it mean forever? because truly, in my mind, i think i may just love her.
