Yes, as the title states, the snow here is chest deep. Well chest deep on my Beagle Buster anyhow. He absolutely loves the snow. He runs rampant through it dropping his nose then throwing some snow in the air to chase it. He does not need nor wear any doggie outfits for the cold etc. He has a thick coat so he is fine. Does your dog love snow? Does your dog wear the doggie sweaters and or boots etc in cold weather? HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Sam hates the snow. He will stand at the door shaking his little paws till you let him back into the house. For as big as he is....he is one wimpy baby. I guess that could be cause he is 14 years old.

My dogs are indifferent to the snow, I thought that since they were born and raised in Arizona that they would be thrilled but no, they don't care. I love watching the dog across the street when they let him out, he goes nuts in the snow!

Gus and Cookie have a dog door and they will do the same thing on very cold and windy days--go out and pee just by the steps and zip back in! Last year I had to shovel and salt the steps so they wouldn't slip and fall and I think they really appreciated it!

Oh that is so cute. I don't have a dog anymore, but my dog was a WIMP. We had to shovel a path for him from the door to the grass each winter or else he wouldn't go potty. It actually worked out pretty good because he only used that small patch so it was easier to clean :-D On the few occasions where he would go through the snow, he would lift his paws up and try to stay above it as much as he could. Maybe if there was a squirrel, he would run after it, but overall you wouldn't find him playing in the snow! Usually it was a quick walk to the potty spot and then he was back at our door in no time. No doggie sweaters or boots for him though. He didn't like wearing stuff and I often think that is unnecessary because, like you said, their coat's are so thick. My dog was just babied that's all :)

It snowed here last night and it is also chest deep... on an ant, maybe! Nothing that can't be swept away. Just the way I like it. My friend's dog will wear a jacket or sweater in cold weather but he doesn't like the booties, keeps kicking them off.

Reggie loved the snow......he would dig his nose into it and flip it throught the air and bounce through it like a little lamb...kind of springy...he didn't like wearing sweaters or anything like that....my little granddog though wears boots.she is small...a little pug...so they try to keep her feet dry.

My little dog tends to give snow a look that says ewww what is that white stuff? My husky on the other hand LOVES IT. Its not very deep here - it waited until about 2 weeks ago to finally snow for the first time this year. Not even deep enough for my car to go ooo i dont think so and get stuck (my cars extra wimpy i swear!) My dogs dont wear booties in cold weather and theyre much too heck no get that thing away from me when it comes to sweaters. Actually my husky will take sweaters off any dog that comes near him long enough to get the chance to.

I had a Great Dame many years ago. She was a wuss. She had a sweater and boots for the wintertime. We have about 6 inches still on the ground right now. We are at about normal for snowfall for December. I am waiting for the big one to come soon. Like they had on the East coast. I waqnt a couple feet all at once to fall. I love the snow a lot. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I don't have dogs only cats and I do not let them out of the house at all. We thought when we moved here we could let our cats out, but what happened is they either came back with fleas or people stole them.

When I shoveled out my driveway after this blizzard the banks I had created were around 5 feet tall! I have not seen this much snow in a very long time. It's pretty amazing. It has completely disabled traffic around here, but its still very pretty and fun to play in.

I had to check out busters photo as I hadnt seen him in a while. He looks so strong and healthy. I can just imagine him frolicking around in the snow, getting the sillies as we would call it. No snow here, so my dogs have never experienced it. One dog, the dalmation does get very excited when someone gets in the swimming pool. He runsd around like crazy, wanting to drop toys and fruit in ther pool.

I couldn't get any doggie boots on my dog for anything! Believe me, I've tried. But he does wear a sweater. And whenever I get it out he gets excited because he knows that means he will be going outside. He puts his head in, and then his arms through - it's cute. But we haven't had any snow yet. We might get some tomorrow afternoon.

We got some jackets for Zoe but she didn't want anything to do with them. She broke her leg before we got her and really favors it when its cold - but she still won't let us put her in jackets or bookts.

Buster seem to be really enjoying himself in all that snow. He probably is happy to get outside for some much needed exercise. I have a grand dog, but she has not been introduced to snow yet. She is a snow dog a Siberian Husky, so I am sure she would love the snow. As for the doggie outfits she has never owned any of those, I don't think she would appreciate any anyway.

It has been many years since I have seen that much snow it would have been when I was very young. It was fun to go out and play in the snow once someone dug us out. We had a small black poodles and he like the snow but it was hard for him to get around when we had lots of snow.
