Okay, most comapnies give their employees some type of bonmus for
the Holiday. What are some of the bonuses you have recieved in the past from your employee(s)? My wife works for a small restaraunt
and her boss does not give a bonus. But he is also a friend and
does a lot for us in many ways. He has helped with financial problems. He has helped us buy the house we have owned for 6 years now. The bonus I recall that sticks in my mind, I worked for a travelling circus many moons ago and recieved a round trip airline ticket to anywhere in the Continental US. I ended going to Florida to spend
some time in the warmth etc.

The last company I worked for were quite skanky we had to earn tips and then share them with everyone! We all ended up getting around £5 extra. Loads of customers gave me £10 here and there but I had to share it with everyone. The reason they gave it to me and not others is because I made them feel special everyone else tried getting all the customers out but many of them were elderly and only came to the shop for a chat so I made sure they got that chat not just acting like they are my wages!

Some larger companies give meek bonuses as well. I worked for a large company once and got a $20 bonus and they made a fortune Im sure that year. My wife gets some decent gifts/tips for the holiday at her waitressing job.

Its mean, I worked hard all year maiking the customers feel welcome and happy and then the other staff worked like I do only when the tip pot gets put out. I deserved that money for my hard work ALL year but I guess thats the way the cookie crumbles!

Well our company i have worked for two and a half years. They offer us a two hundred dollar bonus every year for christmas. I just got mine last week. The catch is they give it to us about two weeks before christmas but i dont spend it. I just let it replace the money i already spent for christmas. So it helps. Merry christmas.

A factory I worked at for a few years awhile back gave us great cash bomnuses as well. I recall getting nearly $500 one year. It all was according to their earnings that year as well. The more they made the bigger our bonuses.

I ran away from home at 13 and have been on my own since then. I joined a carnival then traveled all over then joined the circus as well. I did this for 8 years on and off and loved every minute of it. I had discussions about this many years ago here as well.

I get one every year.....in the form of what is called Chamber Bucks...they are like gift certificates you can spend at businesses that are members of the Chamber ....so I used to get myself Terry Redlin plates but have so many I now use them to buy the groceries for my Christmas dinner etc...

The company I work for gives a bonus that is roughly equal to one pay check. It is nice to have, we get it before Christmas, and a large part of mine is still stashed, waiting to be spent on remodeling. In addition we got 50 dollars in gift certificates for Thanksgiving and we get other nice gifts during the year.

For a long time I worked as a hosptial nurse and the hospital ususally did soemthing nice for the employees at Christmas. Each year there was some monetary bonus or gift cards or something. After that, I began my teaching career and the small private college at which I taught for 14 years always did something. The budget was always tight but there was. always something done for employees...a fruit basket or something for each of us. I now work for a state collge system and there was NOTHING done for us. I really dislike the state system for MANY reasons...not the least of which is the fact that employees are not treated with much respect. Sounds like your wife works for an AWESOME boss!

Wow a round trip ticket to anywhere in the US. Now that is a bonus. I have never gotten a Christmas bonus when I was working. The last company I worked for did give us a turkey or a ham for Christmas. Before they closed the company they stopped doing that, they just had a Christmas party for the employees. I never attended any of the parties, they were always to far away from where I live, and I would always have to go alone so I didn't go.

Yes I loved it. But I also hated it as I ended up moving there and working for a different circus company. Came Christmas I was lost without snow and cold so I moved back to the great snowy cold Midwest.

Well, at the last job that I had, there was no Christmas bonus and I really didn't mind that. My previous job before that gave us a $25 gift card to Kroger which came in handy because I was able to use it to buy some extra food or in the event that I didn't use it for food, I used it to buy things just after Christmas that were half price. Where my husband works they take all of the the money that is collected throughout the year from the vending machine and split that between all of the employees and that is their Christmas bonus. It isn't a whole lot, but it sure is better than nothing.

HI! I received my Christmas bonus last week, but it wasn't so much- only 80 Euros, but it is also something! You must known that here in Bulgaria the minimum amount you can get for 8 hours work day is 130 Euros and in Germany for example is 700.

I never worked for a company that gave out bonuses at christmas time ever. When I was married back in the 70's my husband used to get a turkey and a 100. bonus which was nice at the time.

I don't know many who get bonuses. The ones I do know are getting turkeys. Yup a big bird. I don't consider cooking a meal all day a bonus.

We don't get Christmas bonuses at my work. We get our bounuses usually in February of the following year and we usually get a certain percentage based on performace, the best is 12% but nobody ever gets that, I usually get 10% which is pretty good. I am really curious to see what I will get this year I was promoted recently and should be in the managers bonus pool but with the economy being so bad, I might end up getting the same as I did as a non manager. Which is fine, the money really comes in handy and is nice to get.

i never heard someone received the bonuse for this christmas still but i ever heard online that someone received some dollars as the christmas bonus from some online earning site and that really interested us but not everyone can receive that bonus. i'm not a lucky man so i never respect to receive any.

This is actually a bit of a sore spot for me. I work for a medical company with clinics worldwide. This company makes millions and millions of dollars in profits year after year. The managers and higher ups walk away with year end bonuses. However, the actual facility employees...we don't even get a greeting card wishing us a Happy New Year. I think it's a shame and although I am grateful for my job, an acknowledgement of the work that we do that contributes to the success of the company would be nice.

Not getting a bonus sucks. thats why I left my job and I now own my own. I promised myself I would always give my employees a bonus. This year for our bonus I've given them each a certificate voucher to any hilton hotel. I mean well, living in Hawaii is not cheap! lol HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
