It looks like mylot is being dominated by the women members

yes, may be you right most is woman like to talked keep their hand busy writing. myLot is fun if you know better to find source of all information. Well, I just looking here if I have free time.

Well, I know a lot of guys who spend time on dating sites and news/sports sites rather than forums and posting..but I have noticed a good mix of the genders here-than again-I'm only 6 months into it. Maybe women are just more into talking about their feelings...as they say-men hide it and women air it out. I know I sure do LOL

I may get attacked by women for saying this, but it maybe because women are more opinionated than men, so like to let people know what they think. Or maybe men think they know all the answers, so don't need to ask any questions.

yeah, I already notice that. maybe men are too busy to earn this small money here. and they are not interested in writing posts one after another and mince their mind to think of a new topic.

Oh, I didn't notice that, but I think you are right. I agree with what other members said, there are many stay at home moms who might have more spare time (kids going to school etc). I also think that another reason is women love to talk and share their feelings. Mylot is almost similar with chat rooms, that's why it attracts the ladies. Cheers!

Hi, I'm new to myLot (just joined this month!) so I haven't really noticed this interesting fact. Personally, I find myLot to be quite welcoming and being able to share my ideas and participations (and earn money on the side! ^_^) is wonderful! :)

Maybe men had better get on the ball and start writing! I do all the writing in my household. My husband has to be forced to sign greeting cards even when I do all the work of making the card and writing out the envelope, and even when it's a relative of his I've never met. He always says, "You do it better." So maybe if men were to practice writing more, they'd become more prolific. I wasn't born knowing how to do it better, either.

Good that there are a lot of women on Mylot. We must put an alert to Indians especially, since there is a lot of female infanticide in our country, sooner or later there maybe not many women left for us to see ... Ha ha ha.. So, in future I guess we would tell one another, "Hey, if you want to see women, come to Mylot". By the way, this is just a joke...

you are right..women have much time apart from their daily house chores they can sit and have fum here..it must be looking like fun to you..but we really have more work than men...we just steal time or find out time to be here..and lighten the burden of you men..who think themselves to be more powerful.....have i become more aggressive...??? sorry if u r hurt..but its fact..

vijayanths its the terrible economy a lot of men are out of work and women who have small kids are here trying to make any money they can. others are also out of work and doing the same thing trying to make some money any way they can. a lot of people are jobless right now and mylotters are no exceptions. they will do anything they can to try to ease things a bit for their familiies so do not begrudge them being here in numbers right now. just help in any way you can.

Hi bro, i think mylot is a good place for women to talk and share about their daily life matters, so that's why you will see more women in mylot. I as one of them, also feel mylot is a good place for me to get to know some online friends as well gaining and sharing some knowledge about daily life matters, so making life more wonderful. Anyway, it's also a good way for stay at home women to earn some extra income through online while they can have some good chat as well. At least, it's considered as spending time wisely online.....

Probably women tends to be more interested into forums and sharing things online while men are busy more on chatting online, this is just my own opinion. Anyway i guess the number of people that dominates here are really women, why? hhhmmm good question. I think the reason for more women being on a site like this is for a few different reasons like the fact that more of us are stay at home mom especially since the recession, women like to talk and if we can get paid for it that is ever better and then that fact the this is like a little community and it allows us women to open up about our lifes, joy and problems and we get to befriend other women and women like to make new friends so this is almost the perfect place, I just think that more of the topics are topics related to women responses.

I never observed that Mylot is dominated by woman, I just learned that from you. I guess woman is smart to choose online as their career. Like mothers at home with computer and internet, of course they will find ways to earn while at home. While me I am working regularly but the salary is not enough, I find ways to have additional earnings like this, Mylot. Well some men will do the same if they want to. Both gender are working hard to earn in every aspect.

no, mylot is being dominated by men... but only in some categories especially in the make extra money category. other than that category, i can hardly see participation by men members. the ratio is like men:women 3:7 for other categories.

maybe what you said is right,i always stay at home for long time and useing computer,i find that i have free time and dont do anything to waste my times,so i select to be here in mylot.when i respond dicussion,i find that the time pass quickly and at the same time,i can earn money.so i like to be here in mylot.

Hi vijayanths, Yes I too feel the population of women is more in My lot, mainly because they are able to manage home and work from it also through My lot according to their convenience.

Well, I guess I am best to start off by saying that I am another one of the women member of mylot. As to the reason that there are probably more women here than there are men is because ther are a lot of stay at home mothers that use mylot as a way to make a few extra dollars and also as a way to have some conversation outside of the conversation that we have during the day with our children. At least, for me that is the reason that I am here.

We can not exactly say that mylot is dominated by the women. Out of 1,93, 494 mylotters, how many men and women mylotters are there,no body knows. May be you are getting more responses from the women, It may prompted you to think like that I suppose.
