Hello, SeventyTwo, and welcome to MyLot. I like to deal with rude people by being very polite, but sarcastic. I tell them what they've done wrong, without using any abusive language, and then I suggest that they get a life of their own, instead of trying to ruin other people's lives. I usually get another rude reaponse, which I then report to admin. People who have been rude to me or my friends on MyLot have either seen the error of their ways and reformed or been banned from MyLot. I prefer it if they learn from their mistakes, of course, but my main objective is to halt the rudeness.

well if someones rude to you they are trying to get a reaction if you don't give them that reaction they will just disappear back to where they came from lol,
I like to speak my mind hence why I only got a score of 8 on here but am never rude as would expect the same courtesy back if you know what I mean.

I really haven't had to deal with rudeness on mylot.. but I do seem to run into it alot in public places. If someone is rude to me, I ask them if they are having a bad day and just talk to them in general, usually by the end of our conversation they usually put a smile on their face... And it sure does make my day a whole lot better and i'm sure it does theirs also.

My parents always taught me the phrase kill them with kindness. The thing is a lot of times when people are blatantly rude they are seeking attention and they are seeking drama or a fight. If you don't give it to them normally they stop and it probably riles them up more than anything you could possible say to them back. It's just best not to stoop to someone else's level - two wrongs are never going to make a right.

People who do this often times just need attentions. If you will ignore them, then they will shut their mouths out. But if you entertain it, then they become more active and will end up winning. Since you have lose your temper and reacted, then they win. The best thing I will do is simply to ask the admins to delete the post since it doesn't give any relevant taught to your discussion.

I have never deal with such a persons, but that's because I never met a person who is rude to me, but if I met one, I will deal with him at the way he deserves. Because I hate such people and I despise them!

It really depends on my mood. If i am rather angry then i will respond rudely, but most of the time in my calm state i will merely say something along the lines of... "That is SO rude... What gives you right to treat another human being that way?" It makes me sound a bit like a nonce but... i think its a better way to respond to rudeness.

Honestly, I just ignore them. I do this for a few reasons.
1. It goes against etiquette to correct someone's manners or lack of therein. Doing so is actually a bigger faux pas than the rude person.
2. I do not have the time nor energy to engage in a battle of wits with simpletons.
3. Giving people that exude negative energy attention only fuels their fire.

Rudeness is an unnecessary evil as some say. If I can get away with it I choose to ignore rudeness or if I have to respond I will generally in a calm way just so you aren't letting the rudeness get to you. However if it's someone you know or you can get away with it I will point out that the person is being rude.
