The Winter solstice was last night, now things might start to get warmer!

Last night was the winter solstice or Midwinter as some like to call it. It is the shortest day of the year which means today for the first time the days become longer again! More light to your days! :) I wish I had done something to celebrate like light a candle or something! Maybe this is why today is the bonus day on mylot, to celebrate the rebirth of the sun! Maybe next year when things are more stable for me I will have a tiny yule celebration or something. Anyway hopefully I will have a great time this year in the coming days. Did anyone on here do anything in celebration of this time, other than get excited about the coming myLot Yule bonus!? ;)

I must say that I prefer the summer solstice more than the winter solstice. However it is lucky that it has gone past. I celebrate mid summer but not mid winter. I look forward to the spring time. The weather will hopefully begin to get a bit warmer soon. My mom and my nephews went to a pond to feeds some ducks, geese and swans. Animals like that get forgotten about on cold icy days. I am enjoying feeding some of the wild birds in my garden. I have some friendly robins and wrens in my garden in the day time. I like the My Lot Yule Bonus.

Thanks for the reply Maxi! For some reason where I am in England seems to be suddenly attracting loads of large black crows! Very mysterious, you don't normally see them so much but now they are all over here glowing black against the white snow! I hope they have a good plan and get plenty to eat.
