Do you avoid going out & driving in snow, or are you comfortable driving in it?

I live in Canada and if I was too afraid to drive in snow, I'd have to hibernate for 5 whole months each year.
In my province (Quebec) last year the government passed a law that made it mandatory for all cars to have winter tires during the winter months. These make driving in snow and ice a lot safer.

I live in Minnesota and we get a lot of snow as well.
I can recall on Halloween 1991 we got 49 inches in a 24 hour period. I was out driving in it in my 4x4 truck pulling people from ditches etc. Do all season tires qualify for that ordinance you have? That's all I ever buy for my car and it's sufficient for our snowy roads etc.

Nope, all-season tires don't qualify. They must be winter tires, or snow tires, or snow & ice tires. All-season won't cut it in our winters.
Happy holidays to you too!

Well, since I live in San Antonio, I dont' really need to worry about driving in the snow. I used to live in the north and I didn't really mind driving in the snow. Since I have gotten older, it does bother me now. But, I would rather be driving than be a passenger in the car when it is snowing. I feel more in control that way!

I don't drive but I can't stand walking in the snow either it is just so hard especially if you have to trudge through snowbanks. It is just too hard.

I don't mind it that much I am pretty good at driving in the snow and my car handles pretty well in the snow. I don't like the traffic that it couases though, and of course I don't like driving in really bad snow storms, that is not fun for anyone I don't think, I will avoid it if possible if there is a really bad storm, but nomral snow does not phase me that much.

I don't like it but I know how to drive in it. I've lived where it snows and sleets but I've been lucky enough not to have a wreck.

Well, last time I drove in snow it was a horrible experience. My home country isn't well prepared for snow, even if lately is common that snow will fall in winter. That's why all roads get blocked, and buses and trains too can't walk. When you're driving and you get trapped in the middle of the snow, is a horrible experience.

It doesn't bother me either way.
If I can avoid driving in it I will.
My wife doesn't drive so I pick her up from work.
Now her boss hates snow and she will more than likely have to work her day off with the snow we are expecting as him and his wife won't venture to work.

I avoided it for a couple days. They got the roads kinda clear yesterday so if you drive slow you can make it out of the neighborhoods. The streets look really bad but the main streets are good, even if they are only 1 lane each way. You just have to go out at some point. And it's not like I'm gonna walk in that snow.

I do not like driving in the snow.
I started a discussion about how I was nearly in a snow/ice slip caused accident the first day I drove in the snow a couple weeks ago. This is the first year I've driven in snow, and it makes me really nervous. I always try to drive really carefully, but I never trust other drivers.
