I am reading "Might As Well Laugh About it Now" by Marie Osmond. I have always liked the Osmond Family so I thought I would pick it up. After reading about Vampires and Werewolves, several different series - I thought I needed a change of base. It is very light reading looking into her life. I highly recommend it.

Hi, I'm currently reading I Alex Cross by James Patterson, it's his new book that just came out in November. So far it's good but I doubt I'll finish it before it has to go back to the library since their are holds on the book. It's started out a little slow it has it's good points. I love most of his books in the Alex Cross Series, I also enjoy books by Nicholas Sparks and anything my Mary Higgins Clark, I've almost read all her books and I own all of them.

Ok, now that some time has gone by, I have to admit I've gotten alot of good ideas for new reads from this thread! Last night I finished 'The Lost Code' by Dan Brown. Started kinda slow, but really picked up. Next I have a new copy of one of my favorite Dean Koontz novels, "Watchers". A friend got it for me for Christmas, and though I've read it before, it was from the library, and was actually the book that got me started reading Koontz. I still want an Einstein, lol!

I'm reading one of my favourite books 'Salem's Lot' by Stephen King! I'm a bit of a horror fanatic and I absolutely love this book. I'm thinking that I have read it countless times now but I receive so much enjoyment from it and it really does help me to escape the world around me! I also love the Osmonds and I even have a film based on their lives! When I need some entertainment I watch 'The Osmonds' and everything seems right with the world! I would definitely love to read one of their books though, I'm sure that this would make very interesting reading. I generally stick to horror books though and I'm not that keen on reading reference. I am reading 'The Bourne Ultimatum' by Robert Ludlum. I love this series. I have read the previous books and they were great. Everybody should read them. Except for the first 50 pages of 'The Bourne Identity', the book is completely different from the movies. The plots and storyline is entirely different. So, even if you have watched the films you should read the books. They are great.

_as an honor to Michael Jackson, I am reading his autobiography "MOONWALK". Reading this makes a clearer picture of Michael's personality, minus the damn child molestation charges and scandals given to him by media. although, the book did not include his life after his Bad album era (and the time when he was accused of molesting)--readers will be given a clearer explanation on his love for children and also on his lonely life. NOTE: anyway, he was a lonely man ever since he started his career. he had very few friends, and he wanted friends whom he can really trust. He wanted to be friends with people who don't know THAT he's a celebrity and won't scream "OHH! IT's MICHAEL JACKSON!!". People who don't know him and won't betray him--like innocent kids. He wanted people like them because he knew they're honest enough to be friends with and they will never pretend to be kind--they'll just show their true selves. Also he missed his childhood days and he wanted to recreate it. That's why he loved children. _haha this is already a summary don't you think? LOL

I'm on a vampire kick myself right now lol. Right now I'm almost finished with Dhamphir, by Barb & J.C.Hendee. It's such a good book, and it keeps me turning pages just to see what happens next. I do like the way this couple writes their stories, so I'm going to put the rest of their series on my list for the library when I go. I'd like to read the Marie Osmond book, I always liked her and am sure she has an interesting story to tell. Will have to put that on my winter reading list too:-) The book I read before this series was a biography of George Burns.

I love the Osmonds too. I read Marie's first book, and Donny's too. Hopefully I'll get a hold of her second book some day and read it. Currently I am reading an inbetweener - that's a book that is a quick read in between good plot-driven novels by my favourite authors. It is a Joyce Meyer book called "Teeagers are People Too". I'm hoping my kids will read it, though I doubt it. My 13yo said she wouldn't read it but then I asked her if she would read the first chapter and she said yes. Afterwards I plan to donate it to the Youth Pastor at our church. I'm not sure which book I will pick up next. I have the feeling my family got me Howie Mandel's book for Christmas so I'm waiting to see. I have tons of books in my home that I haven't read yet (like over 200) so I have plenty to choose from and it's always a tough decision to make... depends on what I'm in the mood for.

The last book I finished a few days ago was "Home Safe" by Elizabeth Berg. It was very interesting, about her daughter and herself and coping with not being an interfering parent. it was very touching that her husband built a dream home for her with their savings but sad that he passed away before he could reveal the completed product to her. she visited it and could see her ideas in every room. very romantic.

I am reading a book by the author carole matthews - I have a few of her others which tend to be comedy romance books and they are so easy to read and just sit back and relax with that I just want to read her books all the time!

I been reading free ebooks through my stanza app on my ipod touch mostly science fiction and fantasy and also downloading the stand alone novel apps. There is a couple of books I got on my ipod that I need to get around to read. One is called Halo by Tom Maddox and the other which I cannot think of the name at this point but the author's name is T.A. Pratt and I read a book called Blood Engines by Pratt which was really good. I listen to podcasts novels a lot more than read and my particular favorite is by this author named Greg Crites. He has series about this Vampire hunter called Dunkin. It is a really funny podcast novel series which is about to go into its third book. The author has posted the pdfs of the Dunkin series and I am seriously thinking about downloading them and re-reading the first two books over again.

Right now, I just finished reading this book, The invisible man by Ralph Ellison. It depicts the cruelty, discrimination and the transition from the era of slavery in the US. Great book.
