Do you read novels before the Movie?

I'm not too big of a reader so I usually watch the movie first before reading the book, however the only books I can think of that I read first before watching the movies are The Notebook and, I know this other series isn't out as a movie or anything yet but there are talks of it, the House of Night series. Those are the only books that I've read before the movie. I usually get lazy too when it comes to books and movies. I'll only read the book if the movie is really good and I like the plot.

Usually, because of time constraints, I will see a movie first then decide if I want to invest the time in reading the book. Most of the time, if I liked the movie, I know I will also enjoy the book. Some stories, however, I enjoyed as movies but don't believe I would like them in book form. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is one of my favorite movies but I think the book would probably bore me to tears. I have enjoyed the Twilight movies so far but the review I got from a good friend, who I trust because she has been known to blast through 3-5 books in a single week so she's an avid reader, was considerably less than favorable so unless I completely run out of things to read, I probably won't get into the Twilight books. I loved Interview with the Vampire but Anne Rice's writing style drives me batty.

Hi i normally prefer to raed the novel rather than see teh movie Because I am sure in a movie there will be a lot of elements missing which are covered deeply in the novel.The Da Vinci Code,The GReen Mile,Shawshank Redemption are to name the few.

I personally do not like reading very much unless it is mylot (: , anyway I would much rather watch a movie.
