iphone 3gs vs htc

I plan to purchace a brand new HTC. But 1 of my friend he want to sell for me the iphone 3gs half of the price of new set. it's worth to buy from him? Actually HTC better or Iphone better for web using?

I am not sure about HTC, but i would think that if you want to buy a PDA phone, i would recommend to buy BlackBerry. I am using one and i think so far there is not much of problem and it's wroking quite good.
If you want to check more about the comparison, maybe you can go to forums and discussion groups to find out more.
