Hi many years ago when iwas still in school we had this new priest in school.H ehasd two daughters and a wife.He was one of the best people I had ever met. he told me that he has not baptised his girls ashe wants then to understand teh religion and whn they grow up if they want they can get confirmed. He said that baptism is just a way of parents thinking about the child and chils's opinion does not matter. I think he truly magnificent. Like him I have decided not to baptise my kids and let them find their faith,Ofcourse, ehen they grow up they can choose what they want to follow Do you think baptism is the only way to attain Christ? Greetings ruchimom. The Word of God indicates to accept Christ we must let Him inside of us (Rev. 3:20). Water baptism is an outward indicator of what should have already been done in us--that He did come in. The Word of God tells us that we are not saved (rescued from sins) by any works we have done. And, the Scriptures indicate those who get baptized are knowledgeable of what they are doing. No baby was ever recorded as being baptized in the Holy Bible. So, yes, someone who is older should do it if they have already truly committed to Christ, and do so willingly.

As said before, baptism is your outward display of being covered with the Holy Spirit and claiming that you are going to follow Christ. I was not baptized until I was 19 because I wanted to make sure that I knew what being baptized really meant. I think that parents should not baptize their kids; instead, they should dedicate them as babies and then let them go through baptism when they are ready themselves.
