Hi there mylotters Christmas is fast approaching I remembered a very touching story about the little match girl. Have you ever watch it or read the story? I'ts a very touching story. I you we're in that story would you buy her match to help her? Would you give some food or a jacket to warm her? What if you see beggars on the streets this Christmas would you care to give them a simple christmas gift like food or extra money that you have? Christmas is time for giving and loving right? I think it's a very greatful thing if we cam make them happy and put a smile on their faces by giving them just a simple thing that we have. What do you think about it?

I have heard of the story before. It's very sad, I agree. If only her father wasn't as cruel, then perhaps she would have lived even for one more day. If I knew I was in the story, then yes, I would definitely help her if I could. But if I didn't know that she was going to die, then truthfully, no.
People are ignorant to the suffering of others, and that is the bad thing. The only thing that we can do is to do our best to help the needy people enjoy this Christmas. :) Yes... I will do that. Everyone deserves to have a happy Christmas. Not look at happy families from the outside and stay in the freezing cold themselves.

Thank you for responding to this discussion friend and thanks for sharing your feelings about the story. Yes sometime we tend to evade from beggars on the street but we didn't know why they we're asking for a small help from us. The little girl is not just a beggar who is asking for money but she is selling a match for her father. Well I hope that the story will change the way on how we look with beggars on the street.

i have never heard of that story but i would give stuff if i had stuff to give. I always donate at store when they ask me and when i leave the store most f the time people are collecting money so i will donate again there. I am a person that can not say no to a homeless person if he comes up to me... i just dont have the heart to say no to someone who really needs the money.
