Hello everyone! Here in the Philippines, we normally welcome Christmas on it's eve. Specifically, we welcome Christmas at midnight (of December 24). Everyone would be very busy preparing for the Noche Buena (often translated as "Good Night". It is a Spanish word referring to the night of Christmas Eve. Custom in Spain, Cuba, the Philippines and Latin America, the evening consists of a traditional dinner with family.) In the Philippines, this usually comes after the entire family has attended the late evening Christmas Eve mass or Misa de Gallo.
While everybody else is busy preparing, those who do not have any task to accomplish are busy doing something else like playing with the kids. Others, spend their time with their friends and loved ones before they go home to celebrate their Noche Buena with their own families.
How about you?

Hi Doce_vita78,
In our country families will stay up late on Christmas eve to bring Christmas day, but most young people would go out to parties, clubs and pubs, but I will be on the computer late and then on Christmas day I will be going off to mys sisters' to spend Christmas day and will be back late.

I help them out in preparing for dinner. We usually go home to our hometown for the whole family to celebrate but now having families of their own we usually dont do that. Just stay home, prepare the food, go to mass and eat together. Merry Christmas Happy New Year!

A lot of things change when members of the family already move out to live their own lives. Moreover, when they move to another country, things will not be the same for a while until they decide to come home and spend the holidays with us.

We are going to celebrate Christmas eve dinner in the late afternoon, early evening with a friend of ours who has no family, and then we are going to go to bed early, since we want to be on the bus by 7 AM, to get to Toronto, on Christmas morning. We're taking off for a few days, we're really excited.

Every year is different, this year I will be at the airport picking up my son. I don't remember last year and who knows about next year.
