Wow, for the second time this year, I've been downed by a gang of trojans on my computer!! It's crazy, of course I've found many more trojans than twice this year, but these 2 particular times were outrageous!! Just these past few days, maybe 4 or 5, I couldn't do much because I had about 11 or 12 trojans on my computer!! Numerous types of the Artemis, a downloader, various Vemundo trojans, and some other crap!!!! So then, only after I went through all types of hell scanning and scanning, when McAfee updates itself after some strange incident on restart (McAfee had shut down among other strange things) the last 5 or 6 trojans were removed!! WOOOOW!!!!! All of that, I missed all types of money online, I was upset!! So what's the point of having antivirus when it only works after the virus is already on the computer and cause some damage?!! I thought it was suppose to be a prevention, not an after the fact solution!! Well, I guess if I didn't have it, it'll be that much worse, but I still feel I'm wasting money if I can't make any because of the antivirus working after I already got shut down and programs are corrupted!! Whatever, we can't win for losing Taripre$

After my experience with a virus I got about a year ago I don't go by just the anti-virus like McAfee and so forth. It just didn't hold up and the virus wrapped its way around files and it was a mess. So I got what my tech reccomended and I haven't had any more problems. It is pretty amazing what can get into your PC.

What a true statement, it is amazing what can get into our computers!! If you don't mind sharing, what did your tech tell you? If you don't want to reveal, I understand, just asking, I can always use a great tip, as anyone could!! But, a mess indeed is what I had for a whole week, if I can avoid this for a third time, that would be great!! Thanx Taripre$

It doesn't sound like you are actually getting rid of the trojans. They can hide and not be found by anti-virus controls. I'm going to suggest Malwarebytes to run alongside your virus control. The website is www.malwarebytes.com and is a free download, or if you choose, you can buy it. I am not affiliated with the site in any way, I just use it. It is the only thing that completely works on my computer and gets rid of the trojans for good. If you download the free version, you have to scan your computer by yourself with it. If you buy it, it will run for you. Good luck!

I guess I'll try it again, but the last few times I downloaded it, it wouldn't launch!! But you're right, I believe those darn things are chilling in my computer laughing at me For real, though, McAfee mainly quarantines them, so if something happens to McAfee, they're back at it again... boooo!! Be aware that some trojans are so well made that this could be the reason your computer wouldn't download Malwarebytes. I had the Vundo H trojan on my computer and the first time I tried to download Malwarebytes it wouldn't let me either. I tried again and this time it worked. It's a very nasty virus and very hard to get rid of. I had Norton at that time and Norton never found the virus and I've gotten rid of Norton since then and will never use it again. Malwarebytes did find it, so I've used it ever since. The trojan was hiding in my Registry.

I think we should to know that nowadays there's lots of fake antivirus software on the market and each such software can easily be downloaded from the internet. Hackers using this method for their new method of attack. Mostly those fake antivirus softwares only have few good benefit or even have no any benefit for users. So i think you should try to choosing a reliable antivirus software. So far i'm using Kaspersky antivirus and i found no problem with it. The most important thing is you must keep your antivirus up to date. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

Yeah, it's kinda rough these days knowing what is what! But all we can do is do our research and go with the best results we come up with in our findings!! There are so many companies that say they do this and do that, but we know what we need, something that actually works!! Taripre$

I hear you. You know, these guys who are creating those things are getting more and more creative my the minute. What I don't understand is why would anybody put that much time and energy into to making someone else's life difficult. There is something wrong with that picture.

You know what, I've been wondering that same thing for a couple of years now! What do they get out of it? Once it's in cyberspace, you don't know what's going on, you can't track it or you'll get caught!! I guess when it hits the news worldwide, that's when they feel they did something. Kinda like thugs wanting their crimes on the 9 or 10 o'clock news and front page headlines!! Who knows, just give me the money, nom' sayin'?! Taripre$

Yeah, and there is no such thing as perfect anti-virus scanner either. No matter how updated your anti-virus are, viruses still catch-up with it. These people are also doing their homework very well. Trying to beat every anti-virus programs available in the market. That is why mine have two anti-virus software sweeping my computer every time I logged on the net.

That is a true statement to the fullest! This is what it boils down to, no such thing as a perfect Anti Virus program, software or whatever, they're still going to attack your computer and do what it wants!! Just like criminals, they'll always find a way around the barrier to get what they want!! So sad but true Taripre$

You know what, I have Windows defender and it scans quickly, but I honestly think it's scanning air!! It never seems to find anything, but then I'll run a McAfee scan and find stuff!! Pretty odd being that it's a Microsoft product and pc's, Windows and all that are Microsoft!! Hmm, I don't get it!! Then again, Internet Explorer sucks too, there you have it.. Taripre$

I should probably run some scans tomorrow, while I have some time. I had a problem very similar last week. I do not have any antivirus active. I have used Malwarebytes the last two times I had trouble.

Hmm, I heard that was a good one, but it wouldn't launch every time I downloaded it. So I just had to resort back to the trusty ol' McAfee It works, but much later after the fact Yeah, computers suck and are an added headache, but remember when we didn't have them like this? Taripre$

it is strange may be you should stay update more often with your antivirus softwares and even trying to surf just safe contents or webpages!!In reality if you use peer to peer or other sharing files networks you have an high percentage to take some threats so n many cases you can add to your security software even an anti-malaware or anti-rootkit and stay up to date with your antivirus normally you can catch and delete many threats...may be when you download a suspicious contents you should scan a little but often your system in this way if you had some viruses you will catch them without waiting that virus expands your effect!!

I am always afraid of viruses, be it computer virus or health related, I have very poor immunity and I am always caught with cold n cough. My laptop has some anti virus, but there is always some new n unknown virus which catches my system to corrupt it.

I totally agree with both viruses of our health and with computers!! I think my computer had the Vumundo and Artemis flu, I guess it's their version of the swine flu or something I guess it's the same symptoms of humans, we freeze up and shutdown, just like the computers, darn viruses!! Taripre$

Hi I think you should start using kaspersky internet security 2009. Well it had all the features that antivirus should have.It repairs automatically if any virus found.so i request you to use this antivirus. After this also you found problem reply me.
25 Dec 09
There are anti virus programs that have real time protection and real time updates taripes. Those antivirus programs detect the virus as soon as they are in your computer unlike other anti virus programs that can only detect viruses when you scan your computer. I suggest you try a different AV program. Maybe NOD32 or Avira antiVir. I am using those two right now and I haven't had any problem whatsoever

Just use norton or avg , man. Norton and avg tell u if a site is safe or not in a goggle search. Or if u use norton , u can check the website in their big database to see if it is safe. There is also a big community of Norton users who review websites about safety , so u can be sure that a website is safe or not. Btw , u must go to some pretty dodgy websites :0
