Which chick rock stars do you think had the best voices, throughout history? I'm trying to find some new music to listen to and I LOVE music where there's a chick who has incredible pipes! The only few I could think of that fit this description was:
1.) Janis Joplin
2.) Susan Tedesche
3.) The chick from Heart (no idea what her name is!)
What about you? What are YOUR top three, if you had to choose?

I love female rockers. I'd go for:
1: Joan Jett of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts- Such a hot "bad girl" image. I like her almost rough delivery, she sings with a snarl. I'm partial to "I love Rock and Roll".
2: Christina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil- A lovely opera-esque voice paired with chords that have been reviewed as "beefy yet beautiful". For a good taste, try "Enjoy the Silence" and "Spellbound".
3: I can't pin an exact reason for this, but Courtney Love, the lead singer of Hole, has a voice I like. "Doll Parts" and "Malibu" are good.
Hope you find some good stuff out there. There's a lot of it.
