Is Unlimited REALLY Unlimited?

So my friends and I are arguing if unlimited is really unlimited? I am talking about movie theaters.
My friend was telling me, in movie theaters that they give you unlimited refills on popcorn and drinks. Yes that is right. Since they dont allow outside food and drinks and they didnt say that you can reuse the containers, my friend WASHES the popcorn box and drink cup and brings it back to the theater and gets refills that way. I say you cant do that even if they didnt mention it but its common sense. You cant bring the containers home, wash it, and bring it back to get refills. IF that was allowed then how do people get paid? Everyone will be doing that and there will be no profit.
Can you do that?

nope-if they catch him,he'll probably be banned from the theatre.
unlimited usually means "within one visit's purchase".that's like buffets-if they see somebody eating for hours they'll usually refuse service after awhile.
i got to say though, that's original.i'd never heard of someone going that far to get free before.

I don't really think it's unlimited because it doesn't make any sense. I don't think it's like some fast food places where they just let us take as much as we want. I'm sure they regulate it to some extent, otherwise they'd be losing serious money there. I'm not sure about popcorn but I kind of doubt it for the drinks.

You are not supposed to reuse them generally speaking. I know of one place that actually wrote the date on the bottom of each container so that it could only be used that day.
In actuality though popcorn and soda are so cheap that it doesn't even matter. Most people would not go through the effort even if they knew they could get away with it. They would still make a horrendous profit off of concessions. I don't much mind if people want to take the effort to reuse the containers more power to them. Eventually they will fall apart. They actually will probably fall apart before they get their full money's worth anyway. That is really the profit factor of soda and popcorn.
