This one is for all the music lovers out there. What's the best concert you have ever seen or been to. I realize some of you may not have had the opportunity to see a live concert before so concert video is ok. I personally have been lucky enough to have seen quite few in the last 15 years. This might date me a bit, but my first big live concert was Def Leopard back in there heyday. They sold out a 10000 plus seat arena where I lived and put on a great show. Since then I have seen Alice Cooper and the Scorpions in a double headliner, also back in the 90's when they could sell out arena's. Others include the BB King blues festival which featured 5 bands other than the legend himself. More recently I have seen QueensRyche, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, Aerosmith and Lenny Kravitz, and just this last year I was able to go see Nickelback with PapaRoach, and Hinder opening for them. Of all of them the best is a close call, but Alice Cooper and the Scorpions wins. 12000 people packed the arena and Alice Cooper opened. This was back in 1994, and the Scorpions were at the top of there game. While they are not my favorite band of all time, that show was simply awesome. Both bands played a greatest hits show, and had the budget for all the fireworks and stage effects to highten the intensity of the show. Not to mention I had the best seats of any concert I have ever been to. 14 row center stage. Anyway what's the best concert you have ever seen? All genres welcome

I went to a concert here in Winnipeg over a week ago where they did The Creation. It as so good and the music was wonderful, so were the singers. The tickets were a bit costly and we sat at the back (moved to the front later on because some of the seats there were empty) but next year we will go again. I hope to see The Messiah if it is on then.

Thanks for the response, Very cool, We live right down the street from the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove Ca. This is a large very well known church in Southern California and they have a similar Christmas show every year. We used to go every couple years when I was a kid. Haven't been to it in years, but it is a very good show.

I heard of the Crystal Cathedral and have seen pictures of it, on Tv, mind you. It must be wonderful to hear a concert there. When I was in school, our music teacher used to take us to the Symphony every month or so. That is where I got my love of classical music and of course, watching Fantasia with those dancing hippos.

Thanks for the best response. I wish I could go to these special concerts more often, but I can only afford once a year. I could order a dvd of them or a cd, but unfortunately I am way to practical and just get kitchen stuff. t maybe the next time, I will go and splurge and maybe get to see two concerts a year.

I went to a STYX concert and that was awesome. You haven't lived until you have been to a STYX concert.

Thanks for the response. I have never been, but if I got the chance would definitely go. STYX is well known in the rock community for their stage presense and putting on an excellent show.

hi ravenblade! mine would have to be the mtv alternative nation tour here in manila a couple of years ago. it featured three foreign bands plus one of the most popular local bands as front act. the front act was eraserheads, perhaps the biggest, if not the most popular band that come out of the local alternative music scene at that time. the featured bands were foo fighters, sonic youth, and beastie boys. foofighters did 'big me' which in my opinion was one of the highlights of the evening. dave grohl even said that 'big me' was one of the faster songs that we can dance too. next came sonic youth and the live version of 'diamond sea' was nothing short of spectacular. closing the concert was beastie boys. they had some technical difficulties during their set but they brought the house down with 'sabotage'. definitely on eof the best concerts i've watch in my lifetime. cheers!!!

Oh wow. Thats actually hard for me. I have been to 5 Hanson concerts, 2 Lady Antebellum, Switchfoot...but I guess my favorite would have to be the Hanson Member's Only Event that had about 200 fan club members go to Tulsa, Oklahoma (the boys' hometown) and they sang songs off of their new album and a few other never before sung lives songs. It was great - joking in between songs and then meeting them afterwards. Great memory.
