Did you think of checking your post number?

Amidst yesterdays insanity it never once occured to me to check the number of posts I made between start and finish so am clueless today if it was the same as it was when I signed out yesterday. My inbox was clogged with so many alerts and the friends started list overrun with one liners by some, that I probably missed some good discussionsm, unable to see the trees from the forest. Also it was so many I mass deleted them all.
So I just signed in today and immediately saw the discussions about the deleted discussions, though it was pretty obvious that that was going to happen if many were the same, and I'm sure that mylot itself was extra vigilant looking out for them. So really my point is I don't know if the discussions I responded to are still standing or gone. I stared one and it's still there.
What about you, do your numbers tally, were your discussions deleted, or have you lost posts, or are you blissfully unaware of it. I do think I posted less than usual as the madness sent me to sleep.

Hi jillhill, well good effort then, I don't think I've ever kept track of how much I've done here as there's comments back and things in other boxes like Zed has done here so post numbers wouldn't reflect anything much anyway. But if I'd kept a post count it would have been easier to see how much time I'd wasted.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my email filled with mylot notifications yesterday. I had a field day responding to them. I have not posted any discussion myself as I was thinking of going on 'leave' and posting new discussions would be inappropriate if I can't comment. People took the opportunity with the rare bonus that mylot is offering. I have not checked how many of my responses are still intact as I believe many of the posts will be axed as they were one liners and some are nonsensical posts.

Hi Zandi, I feel rather bad that the box was so full I just deleted it, thus missing comments back which I would generally respond back to if they catch my fancy.
Interesting that you say you think they will be axed, as I presumed the axe would already have fallen by now as I say a few comments about deleted discussions. I deliberately didn't respond to those which came after the first announcement of the double payment as had responded to Lamby and presumed all the rest would just be chopped. You're almost at 6000 now, I hope you reach it today.

Check number of posts? No - the day was half gone before I read a post about double earnings. I had to delete a lot too - was wondering why one friend posted about 9 discussons. Really confused until I twigged what was going on.I was just caught up in my own problems

I am not sure I dont really check it that much to be honest. I am more concerned about talking to people! I couldnt believe how busy it was yesterday! I have never had so many replies noramlly people just tend to start a discussion and leave it but no not yesterday! I was shocked. I knew it would be busy but not that busy! I also got alot in my inbox and just did what I couold, I replied to a few one liners to inform them that we need quality and one-liners wont get them anywhere apart from the discussion being deleted.
I hope mine went up I do want to get to 1000 posts by the end of today I want that acheivment before Christmas so fingers crossed I will just keep going as normal and then I should be there. Sorry I have gone off topic a little there!

Hi angelsmummy, eighteen more posts should be easy to achieve and add a few on as well just in case any get deleted. I was completely shocked when some on my list who normally start the odd discussion absolutely saturated the friends started list with one liners so even if I'd turned the notifiers off the list would still have been full. I don't really pay attention to my post count apart from to notice if it goes over certain numbers. Good luck in getting over 1000 today, I'd recommend old ones which have no chance of being deleted.

Thats great advice. I think I will go through my friends list and answer as many as I can! I always try to do that but then I get stuck in the discussions with no responses!

Thanks for sharing the info, I usually get an email from mylot to let me know of the posts that are there and I follow it. Do u mean to say we need to check it somewhere else as well. As far as pending friends are concerned I let 4/5 to be added to my profile and am commnunoicating with one of them as well.

Hi eddify, no I was meaning the post count by your star, yours is 280 now. It was so busy on the double earnings day that it was obvious lots of discussions would be deleted as repeats or one liners but I never thought of checking my posts to keep count, to know if I responded to any deleted ones. I only made one discussion and its still there.

Yes the star reflects your reputation here and will go up when people use the plus button. If your points go down within you star it means someone is rating you negatively which most people never do unless someone is offensive.
The star also effects your earnings so the higher it is the better.
One way you'll probably increase your reputation is by adding an avatar as there are so many waving men that they fail to stand out individually. Don't post one liners but quality comments. Contribute to your friends discussions and as you plus them they will plus you.

Sorry, I dont keep track of the number of discussions I have. I think it will be a waste of time, I just relay on the number appearing on my name. I am not very particular with what I posts, though sometimes I was not able to respond or to comment on some interesting topics.

I am not very particular with that all I know is that the number is increasing whenever I respond to a discussion of open up a topic for discussion. Ill try to monitor the number if it is increasing or decreasing. Happy New Year!

I expected a bunch of deletions but did not see a discussion stating that fact. I know with Christmas, people would be wishing others well and asking about presents. I am still responding to said discussions, some from the no response category just to help people out. I used to check my post number but no longer do. If I wonder if something I thought might be deleted has been, I just check my "discussions I've responded to" or wait until I come across said discussion in my email as a comment, if I can't comment back, I know it's been deleted for one reason or another.

There were so many, and I don't think I got to all of them, but I did try. Yes, I lost track of how many posts I was making per day so I didn't worry about it. Though I do try to keep the number in mind and then later check again to see how much my number's gone up, I don't worry about it too terribly though.

Hi Amber, you've been busy on here the last few days. That's sweet that you're still responding to those discussions, I did tend to delete them as there were so many. Even when I thought about keeping tabs on my numbers after starting this one I immediately lost track again.

Do you mean you deleted discussions or people, I came close with the latter but most of the discssions I just zapped as there were so many. Have a good day Friday, we're looking forward to a long lie in. Well I am but Hugo may have other ideas

You right, jonjee0203. But remember this is also a kind of activity that will be counted?
But for me I will always make sure that I answer all the comments and reponse to my post because I want to retain a good relationship with those people or friend that is commented on my post, so that when I have a discussion they are commented it again...Happy holiday!

I posted quite a lot. But I had other works to do, so could not invest much time. However, whatever time had, I have earned big. It is about 3$.
I posted like I do everyday, with quality and in only those where I could share my views. Not a single post was deleted. So, that is a great thing, isn't it?

Hi sagnik, well done if you didn't get anything deleted, but as I said somewhere else you shouldn't post about your earnings here as those types of discussions do get deleted and you've done it twice now on this one. Obviously I hope your comments here aren't deleted as I've responded to them, but please be careful and don't post how much you make on here.

initially i did keep a tab on my numbers but now i don't pay much attention. it is quite possible that some of my posts are gone, even maybe not because of me but some others irrational postings or repeated discussions. but i really don't trace them. so i guess i am one of those who are 'blissfully unaware'. however i do check my cash balance.
i see that excessive postings can also have its own downside.... bite what you can chew.....

Happy Holidays Thea, I haven't been on myLot for the past few days due to some emergency circumstances (laziness being one), computer issues. Although, through my email I did notice the huge increase in postings but didn't have time to respond to any. I do not usually look at my postings and have only begun to notice "ratings". I like responding to fun discussions posted by fun people or serious discussions posted by serious people, etc. Often the madness does lead me to sleep as well, which is why I sleep quite often being "mad". Wishing you an awesome holiday!

Hi Lina, Happy holidays to you to. We're indulging in the anti- christmas here and its so refreshing though very frustrating as a present for my son actually came with the requistite battery but we are unable to find the screwdriver which fits to open it and put it in. I've promised a mammoth search after coffee and a shower.
Hey I fit both categories of fun and serious, not quite sure where this one fits in though. Don't indulge in too much dim sum to make me madly jealous.

Hi Lina, yes all is sorted, the metal detector has been bleeping and so far has detected Evros 2.40 which is a good start. Good luck with the breadmaker, I'm off to put some more marmalade on when my son finishes peeling the oranges, I bribe him of course but that still leaves me the hard work of chopping the fruit up and removing all the pips. I'm so glad you enjoy my discussions, I certainly look forward to your responses. I would kill for dim sum. And chilli oil. Enjoy your very small amount of it.

Good Morning to you Thea, I hope by now you have found the screwdriver and batteries and coffee and shower, well, not in that order. You, my friend, are definitely both fun and serious which is why I enjoy your discussions the most. I will do my best not to consume huge amounts of dim sum today, just a tiny bit and will think of you while the hot chillie sauce comes around! I am going to use my sister's bread machine this morning (wrong discussion, but just wanted to let you know). Getting my coffee now...Have a perfectly wonderful day today!(didn't say Christmas in that sentence but if the anti-ism has abated abit, then a wonderful Christmas as well.)

Hi gabs, gosh that madness was a week ago now. I saw something that Lamby had responded to earlier and people were saying they made 30 discussions that day, I'm glad they weren't on my friends list as they'd have been gone, it would have clogged every box completely. I liked the double pay bit though.

I was hardly here during the panic and only made 10 posts. Yes, I keep a record, jotting down the number each night when I close down the computer.
I no longer receive notifications of new discussions, preferring to work from "friends started" but I still receive notifications of comments on responses because some of those could be pages back and easily missed.
I will be leaving in about three hours and won't be back before 2nd January, maybe later.

Hi Thea. I'm back a day early for reasons I'll explain later. I had a great time with family at Christmas and watched the New Year's Eve fireworks explode at eye level from my son's 24th storey penthouse overlooking the river - great!

Hi Cloud, if I'd been here to see this which I wasn't I'd have said have a safe journey and a well earned rest over christmas. But of course you won't be getting much rest with your plans.
Now if I could have guessed anyone would be organised enough to keep track of their posts of course it would be you.

Hello, Thea. No, to be honest, I never thought of that. I blame Lamb. He gave us all those useful tips but never told us to check our post count at start and finish! Well, it can't be our fault, can it, because we're as near perfect as makes no odds!
I followed Lamb's advice about only responding to older discussions, as they were less likely to be deleted, and I stuck with trusted friends such as yourself. I avoided the ones about the double pay like the plague, as I knew they'd go. Even Lamb's short one disappeared. I think Admin should have made it clear in the alert that anyone who started discussions about the double pay risked having them deleted, though.
Once we've had our updates, stand back for dozens of 'how much did you earn on double day' discussions, which will, of course. be deleted!
@thea09 (18305)

Hi Sandra, well I've missed a full day so did the double earnings how much did you earn take over and then get deleted? I only responded to Lambys double earner one as presumed all the rest would be delteted and then he said something of his had been deleted and I'm not sure if it was that one ornot.
But obvioulsy it's all his fault anyway whatever.

Hello, Thea. I don't think I lost anything, except Lambs' short double earner one, and yesterday I picked up a few odd extra cents, which obviously came from the shareout of the deleted earnings. As you say, we can blame it all on Lamb - he has broad shoulders!

Hi jb, so tat is still up there I hope, I don't know if I even saw it due to the blockage in the middle of my list, I'm going to have to do some profile stalking instead. I thought my friends list was pretty safe but there were a few acting rather out of character yesterday. If it had carried on much longer I'd have been deleteing a few.

Hi jakywoo, well i never take account of the post number either unless its to notice when I pass some milestone, which you'll do when you get to 100 and get your star. I don't know any phone numbers either without looking them up, not even my own mobile, but I do remember the cost of things in the shop so I can tell immediately when they go up.
