Secret Santa is a nuisance

I ordered all my presents on line and am awaiting the final parcel, and then it is all done. Rather it WAS all done. My friend visited last night and was telling me about the brilliant Christmas meal she had enjoyed with work mates, and about the wonderful "Secret Santa" (this is where everyone puts their name onto a piece of paper and then into the hat, everyone draws out a name and then buys one present for the person named on the piece of paper. This means that everyone gets a present but nobody goes bankrupt buying presents for the entire work force) present she had received. The very same book about cats which I have ordered for her and which is on its way here as I type! I do not beeelieve it! There are literally thousands of books about cats and Stupid Santa picks the same one as I did, worse he got in first so now I have to start hunting round for an alternate present!
