Do you have your tree and lights on all day?

No never i do celebrate Christmas but never allow anyone to put the lights on whole day because it is just a waste of electricity and moreover just because of the celebration i don't want that after two months a huge electricity bill came to my home saying hey see the result you wasted electricity on Christmas and new year and now pay the bill , i always put on the lights at night till we celebrate and after that i switch off the lights because now no one will come to celebrate.

I turn them on at 10PM and then turn them off before midnight. I will have the lights on Christmas morning. Normally, I keep them off during the day because my husband is not home and the lights are something we both enjoy. I would think that it would be hard to see the lights during the day time.

Hello, Sharon. I put our lights on at dusk. We have lights outside on our terrace as well, and I can't see the point of running them all day, when you can't enjoy them at their best. However, you should do what you want to do, not what the rest of us do. After all, you're the one who's looking at them - and picking up the tab!

I have a boy, Jayden and he is now 16 mths old. I have recently taught him what is a christmas tree after setting up ours. We used his help in setting up too. Now whenever I aske him 'where is the christmas tree?' he will point to the tree :) and i will ask him ' do u want to turn on the lights?' he will nod his head :) And that is when I will on it! :) But usually I will on it during the evenings as it gives the living room a very warm glow :)
