Do you think Roger Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time?

Roger Federer is a name to reckon with in the world of tennis.Its not just his stylish strokes or his impeccable technique that would make you wonder if he is truly the best player in the world but the stats also point out that he is someone who has the most grandslam wins(15) and has also held the No.1 spot for the most no. of weeks.But critics argue that he was in an era where he didn't have as many close competitors as in past eras.His closest rival was nadal whereas past champions like sampras and borg have had more rivalries in the likes of agassi,mcenroe etc. but the question really is 'Do you think roger federer is the greatest tennis player of all time?'

its unfair to compare players of different eras. there are players that i have not even seen playing, but those have won many GS, how can i even compare them with the one i have seen without even seeing them play.
also tennis has seen many changes in techniques right from the racquet and balls, to the surfaces and other things. this again makes it tough to judge players of different erars.
tennis has changed a lot even from sampas time to federer's, now it more of a power play, though federer's game is a mix od elasticity, strength and creativity.
i would say all of the players that you have mentioned are good in there own ways, and i see no point, or reason as why we would like to copmpare them i the most unfair ways!
