I am all for people getting tested and getting to know their lover and their status. I think that the best thing to do though is to get tested as a couple before climbing into the sack. I also think that if you are not in a committed relationship with someone that you should get tested as a couple ever three to six months just to know that you both are playing safe. I would also recommend getting tested not only for HIV but also for the other STDs that are out there. Many things can be hard to know unless you get tested. Also make sure that you get educated on the virus' that are out there so that you are not shocked if you were to ever find out that you got something. There are window periods on some STDs and so many people are not sure of how long those periods are. So find out. Education and knowledge is power over good choice or bad choice.
