Today, many people were taking days off from my work. Actually, not many people come to work today, especially the office side, most cubicles are empty. The parking is empty. Only few employees were show up at work today. Some department employees also leave early today, everybody seems like to chill out a little at work. Well, finally, 8 hours work for today is over, and I finally got two days off from this week. I can sleep late tonight, and get up late tomorrow morning. Merry Christmas everyone.

OMG where the heck do you work...I wanna apply...LOL
I, unfortunately must work, and rightly so,
I work for the county so it's the counties residents
who foot the bill! Still, since mostly everyone in our
offices takes vacation time for the holidays and seniority
is sacred...my little 15 years doesn't even come close to
my co-workers who have been there for over 30 years!
It's ok though, not too many calls...much work to keep me
busy...very quiet...I kinda like it.
Merry Christmans to you and yours.

Merry Christmas to you as well. As for my family, it is actually an even split pretty much between who had to work today and who was off today. My husband should have had to work but he used a vacation day so that he could be off. My mother and my brother are both off today, but my sister and my sister-in-law both had to go into work today. I think that my sister may only have to work part of a day, but as for my sister-in-law, she has to work an entire eight hours. And then there is me, as a stay-at-home mother, I haven't had a day off in over three years.

Hi, clorissa123. Many employees have days off for Christmas. And others have to work on this holiday. I know the feeling when you can have a couple of days off. It gives you a chance to rest up and get things done that you have been putting off since working. We all need a break every now and then, especially from work. I hope that you enjoy your days off. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!

hi clorissa123!
it maybe the case for you and the majority of the mylot community but i'll be working on december 24 and 25. not really my choice but really didn't make any plans for these two days so it's all good. also, here in manila, those days were declared holidays (duh?!!) so those who render work on these days get either a 1005 bonus or a 30% bonus. fair deal in my book.
do enjoy your holidays!!!
cheers!!!

Yes, it's an off day for everyone, no matter whether they are celebrating Christmas or not. My hubby will have 3 days off, so we planned to use our time wisely for family outing in the nearby area. Well, my hubby told me that his office will be a very quiet place for work today because many of his colleagues are taking leave to celebrate this special day. So, it's like competing when it comes to holiday time, those who apply leave early will be allowed to take leave on this special day. My hubby unable to take leave because he had submitted his leave late, so need to work today. Anyway, i don't really mind about it, as it's not a big matter to me. So, i wish you and family, Merry Christmas.....

Hi clorissa123. Same here. Came to work late today, and there were only a few cars in the parking lot, and few people in the cubicles. People had long lunches too. I went out for a couple of hours during lunch to run some errands, and when I came back, most have gone home already.
So, I'll just make a couple more posts here in myLot and then I'm off.
Merry Christmas!
