2012 end of the world ? your opinion?

I watched the movie last night and it's entertaining. But i don't think that's how the world will end. It definitely once the sun becomes a supernova and it will burn the earth when it explodes but man will be gone or have gone somewhere else by that time. But i don't think the earth will earth based on how it was described in the movie. Cheers!

I guess the magnetic currents of the earth are reversing, and in that process there will be a lot of changes in the climate and topography of the earth. But that doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Such cycles keep happening once in every 1500 years or so. We don't have to worry about such things.. It will be all for the good if such cleansing happens. As it is, evil and corruption has increased so much, it has to be put under control now. I guess, it's a karmic change that we are facing. Whenever, evil thoughts increase, and evil actions are on the rise, it creates a dark energy, and nature is naturally supposed to be pure, as pure as God, and this energy of energy is bound to revolt against the negative forces, and when it does, such cataclysmic events occur. It maybe 2012, or it could be 2021 or it could be 2102 or it could be even 2120. Who knows? Let's wait and see if it happens, till then we can only go about our businesses and do our duties.

well, I dont know about that for real or not but I think it is just about global warning, such as war or economic down hill or etc... About the earth is going to end in other way, then I dont know. about new star that they found... my question is: How are we going to travel there? just think we move from place to place... it is hard already, so how about outside the earth

Hi karthi_88,Welcome to mylot!Well,it is really true that end of the world is near,but we don't know when to happen.If it's happen on 2012,we cant do anything.We cant hide nor escape,every thing on earth will be melt due to too much heat.It is written in the bible.Any way,no one in this world knows when to happen,God only knows the exact time and date.We must be prepared on this.Good Luck!

Arre, its a good discussion Karthi. There's no evidence for it. No official news. Its ok. Even if the world's gonna end let it end. I just need to share one thing. Let the life in this planet end whenever it wants to, 2012 or 2013 or even tomorrow, but till the last moment be as much happy as you can. I've only a single wish of mine before I die. I wanna be with the person I love the most atleast for a single day. That'll be the most happiest moment in my life. I would me more than self satisfied with tat moment.

Have you seen the movie 2012?? I watched that movie alone and i was scared because what if it will happen today? Scary!! Way back in grade school, i always heard from our Christian school that its end of the world. Yes Jesus is coming back soon. We are all sinners so we need to accept Jesus as a Lord and Savior then confess our sins in order to save us. We really don't know when will Jesus come back maybe later, today or tomorrow so be ready accept Jesus Christ in your heart.

No in 2012 alot of things will change the world as we know it will end and a different one will begin when the US tries to wrap up this war on terror and blows stuff up.

hello karthi this discussion is 3 yrs old, today is 16th of June 2012, nothing happened, there were several predictions in the past, they never came true, well we will be slowly killing ourselves by playing with the environment.. Professor

Scientist can have a theory about this because they are studying about the planets, moon, stars, and sun but only God is the one that knew what is the exact date the world will end. But honestly sometimes i'm also asking my self, Is 2012 the real end of the world. Because i want to change before it happened. I want to correct all the mistake that i maid.

Did the Mayans know about leap years? Nope. It would've happen like seven months ago or something if they'd accounted for leap years. Just a thought.
