Do you have these problems - spread of pornographic website, internet addiction?

Hi, every friends on mylot! Merry Christmas!
These days, our central broadcasting station is reporting some cases causing by pornographic websites and addiction to internet, etc.
Lots of netizens in China addict to visit pornographic websites and upload this kind of articles, pictures, videos. Some of them get payment, but some of them not. And as per report, some of them are arrested because of it.
And some netizens, especially teenages, also addict to play games online, and they spend a lot of time and money on it. That affects their school life, daily life. And even if there is a girl, buy many tools online by credit card, the account is too large to pay back for her finally, then she has to spend 4 years in jail now.
In the report, a lot of parents cry for their children.
I know internet makes our life more convenient than before. I also surf on internet everyday. But it's really a problem for somebody young or poor on self-controlling.
Now I'm wondering if this is also the problem in your country, and how do you control it?

Hi friend! Merry Christmas. every coin has two side just like good or worst. Invention of internet gives speed to our life. There are no such aspect of life where internet does not scratch its impact. But the worst impact is on our young group where they use this bless like curse. I would suggest that parent should monitor the use of internet of their children such as filtering the web address. Online scam is another factor which deceive people who trust the online transaction. In such case creating a community who are active against such scammers will help the online user to protect themselves.

Yes, parents and our society must do more to protect the youth. They don't know how to distinguish sometimes.

Internet is one of the greatest invention of man. It basically made the world a lot smaller. There are benefits but there are negative effects as well. But like everything else, anything in excess is not good. I think it all boils down to ones values. If each and every person has the right values then i don't think the things you mentioned would happen. But we can't really judge nor blame them. Each and everyone are given the freedom to choose what they want. If they choose the roght path good for them but if tread the wrong path then they have to suffer the consequences. Cheers!

Yes, ybong, you're right, it depends on ourselves.
But for someone too young to make right choose, I think it's a problem that families, government, society should face it.
