Stuck in fight between co - workers

United States
December 23, 2009 10:52pm CST
Today, many people leave early, and many people taking days off. Some people just don't want to work today, but they have to. 2 of co - workers got into fight because they don't want to help each other. One of co - workers was assigned to help another one, since it is close to the end of the year, they have to work on the inventory count and shipment too. Since I finished my work ahead of schedule, I am more than glad to help too. The one who was assigned to help wasn't happy at all, she kept saying today suppose to be chill out, not work that hard. Another one just don't want to work too much either. Oh my gosh, where the teamwork here? People just got plain lazy when close to the holiday.

Just ignore them and do your stuff. I used to work at a place where there were 2 employees constantly at each other throats. They would complain about each other to me! I couldn't get away because it was at a gas station and the only safe place there is the bathroom, and really, how many times can you get away with "sudden diahrea"? lol - People are like that, they tend to think that since it's the holidays, that all of a sudden there isn't work to do. I know that employers don't pay employees to sit around and gripe all day. Anyways, best not to say anything, do not get involved.

I got stuck, because I suppose to help them, and I don't know where to start to help since they know what should be the first item to begin with. They fought, and heat things up, and they walk away each other. I don't want to provoke the heat again, so I just didn't know what to do at the moment.

If you get stuck again, just say you have the runs. And then run to the bathroom. lol

what i time for quarrel on this holiday season. sadly, we cant avoid those types of colleagues. funny how they give all their best in applying for a job and but too lazy when given some tasks at work. if i were on your shoes, id rather go home and leave them the job they were assigned to finish. its their responsibility in the first place. yours is just concern. merry christmas clorissa123.

hi clorissa 123 seems like almost anyplace where there is work there are always some people who want to play instead of doing their jobs. You would think with so many people out of work they would appreciate the fact that they have jobs' and incomes and work accordingly but some just do not get' it. Teamwork seems to be a thing of the past.

hi clorissa123!!! it seems you are caught to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. i say that you take it in stride and walk away from the situation as it might escalate and you will be caught in the crossfire. after all, itsn't your job to mediate among quarreling co-workers. just goes to show, how immature your co-workers are. just my thoughts! cheers!!!
