Yes, here in Minnesota at 1 a.m. on Christmas Eve morning it is snowing like crazy. I have cleared about 4 inches already and we are expecting 72 hours of snow falling. Supposed to get upwards of 18 inches total is all. It's so pretty especially in time for the Holiday. This photo is odd as my white icile lights on my roof are glowing orange for some reason. Do you like a white Christmas?

Nahhhh not really.
Halloweeen day 1991 we got 49 inches in a 24 hour period.
That's being slammed.

I saw the forecast on the news before I went to bed last night. I am from a warm climate, and when I lived in the Northeast I could not stand snow that's the main reason why I live in the South. In answer to your question, I rather have a Christmas without snow. Happy Holidays to you.

It's now a little after midnight on Christmas day morning
and so far I've had about 10 inches. Now we have the third
wave of snow hitting right now. I love it.

I think its lovely to have a white xmas, and it will be white ish here where I live too which is quite nice. I dont like snow though really, especially not if i have to walk up and down to school in it, but I do not mind it when I can stay at home. I cannot believe how much snow you are going to get though, brrr!

woo thats cool. We woke up to snow on christmas eve too :)
looked out the window to find half the street clearing the roads together because we live on a hill and it can be quite dangerous if cars try going up or down. Its starting to melt away now though and i don't think the weatherman said there will be any snow on christmas day :( hopefully there will though :)

We got our first winter storm last night, and it is still going strong this morning. The wind is about 50 mph and we're getting a nice mix of snow and sleet. We definitely won't be getting the amount of snow you're going to get. But it makes for a difficult time getting down the flight of stairs in my apartment. The wind was whipping poor little Sherlock so hard he was shaking even in his cute little sweater. Oh yes, and my heat went out last night.

It's 25 degrees currently, and they say we have a foot of snow right now. They're calling it a blizzard, and I think it is because the wind is driving the snow so hard it's like getting slammed in the head. But I know Minnesota gets a lot more snow than that.

Yeah especially now with the storm.
As far as storms go, this will more than
likely be the 5th biggest snowfall on record for us.

Hey Grandpa Bob! Merry Christmas! It still isn't anywhere near
Christmas Eve here (10:30pm) and we aren't going to have a white
Christmas! We still have snow on the ground, but no new snow
in sight for Christmas! Ah well! I finally got a digital camera!
It's a Sony Cybershot 8.1 Pixels! It's a used camera, but not
too used from a good friend of mine, but he forgot to give me
the adapter thiny that goes into the computer! He is a Manager
at Staples so he will get me one soon! But, he doesn't know if
he can fine the directions so I have no idea WTF I'm doing except
snaping pics! I don't have any idea how they will come out since
I don't know how to focus or use the menu! I am still going to
take Christmas pics anyway and hope that the come out ok so I
can finally post some pics for everyone to see! Wish me luck!
Have a wonderful Christmas! I have quite a few more hours to go
to wait for Santa! Hugs, Leslie

As I type this respo0nse it is 12:15 a.m. Christmas morning.
Those cables cost like $5 most places so easy to replace.
It's called a USB cable. Hee hee.
Check the companies web site.
You can download and or look at a manual most times for them.
Good luck and have fun with the camera as well.

What a terrific picture! It looks like a volcano has erupted in the middle of a snowstorm. The orange glow on the icicles looks like lava.
I love a white Christmas, but since moving to Oklahoma I haven't seen one. We usually don't get much, at least in the metro area where I live. This is all changing this year. It's sleeting out now, but is supposed to be changing over shortly. I believe that we're supposed to get about 6", which is a dusting by your standards. But here it's a big deal as there isn't much for snowplows here, or ice melter to treat the roads. Usually only the main roads are done, and of course the highways. Everyone else is on their own. I'm happy though, we don't have to go anywhere. I'm just watching out the window and enjoying it. Merry Christmas! Hey...where's the elf?

We are expecting here in MI what the meteorologists are calling a mixed bag...related to the same storm you're having now. Freezing rain later today, turning to all rain by morning, and then turning to all snow. Whew!
I have no idea what the end results will be as an inch of rain can add up to a whole lot more snow than that lol.

Yeah that big area of rain/snow mix is missing me. It's west and south of me. But later today (4p.m.) we are expecting 3 to 5 more inches and sleet as well. 4 waves of snow to hit us by Saturday morning. I love it. (to a point)

That's sounds beautiful. And, to answer your question, yes, I think it's beautiful when it snows on Christmas. In general, I love the snow. Staring at it, playing in it...

hi its 6 in the evening here in Garden Grove Ca and its right
chilly out doors, going down to nearly freezing which does not too much good for the broccoli crops and other veggies on the Irvine ranch near Tustin Ca. We are on pacific time here of course on the West coast. I love snowy christmases but want it warm too, cannot have both of course. Also hope God or Santa brings my son a really good job. so Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas Grandpa Bob.

Well Hello Grandpa Bob, its good to see you again, haven't heard from you in a long time. Well we woke up to snow this morning too, I think we got about 8 or 9 inches and that's alot for us. We had a White Christmas this year, I think its been about 10 yrs or so since we've had one, it was so beautiful, makes it hard to get around tho, especially when there's ice underneath it, you just have to drive slow and be careful. Merry Christmas....

i wish there is snow here in the philippines. being a tropical country, sometimes i wish i could see snow falling from the sky and me in my boots walking on the soft fluffy snow and i would it in my hands and be amazed by its beauty and its cold and soft feeling. and maybe have a taste of it. i think that it is really awesome to see snow and have your place surrounded by those sea of snow. though the extreme coldness will be something i have to learned to live with but at least i would have fun having snow around. but i don't know actually if people in your country love snow or hate and wish that there won't be snow. but for me i think that having snow is really great but i wish the weather or coldness will be more bearable.
