I got a Wii system for a Christmas gift. I want to get some games for it. Right now I bought some cheap game that has a few oputdoor games like Lawn Darts, Horseshoes, Badmitton, Croquet, etc. I also boguth one the other day that I am loving. Its called Monster 4X4 Stunt Driver. It's a Monster Truck game with a lot to do in it. Now I am looking for decently priced games that will give me a physical activity and not the Wii Fit game etc. Something that will keep me moving as I play and possibly a cardio type of active game etc. Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Games for the Wii are pretty expensive. If you have a video rental store near you, most of them rent games pretty cheaply. Give you a chance to see if you like it before investing in buying one. Many of those places also sell used games, so it's an inexpensive way to add to your 'library'.

I am looking at buying the games at Game Stop or Video Exchange, which sells slightly used games for really cheap.

Amazon is also a good place. I've bought games for our other systems through sellers listed there and have had really good luck. I'm careful only to get stuff from sellers with good (or better) ratings thought. Pawn shops, especially AFTER the holidays is a good bet too. Most do inventory at the end of January, so they are anxious to clear out as much stuff as possible.

Hi Grandpa Bob. Have you tried the boxing on the Wii sports disk? I think our Wii sports games came with the Wii when we bought it. It has golf, tennis, baseball, bowling, and boxing. I liked the boxing as it really gives you a good workout if you want to win. And the more you win, the tougher your opponents get. I think it's a decent workout.
Of course my kids, have since moved on. They are into the Indiana Jones, lego adventure games. Goodluck.

my son gets a lot of his games from pawn shops, they are much cheaper and after awhile, people get tired of games and they sell them to pawn shops.

I've seen the High School Musical one.
My youngest grandson would love that actually.
But not for me I think.

I am answering via email so if this suggestion has already been made, I apologize in advance! My mother is in an assisted living facility and they recently acquired a Wii system for the folks who live there. The game that they seem to enjoy the most is the Wii bowling game...they have even formed a 'league.' They have a ball with the bowling game and it is great exercise! I don't think it is cardio, but still some exercise!

My daughter has a Wii and I absolutely love the bowling one, But... make sure you listen and wear the wrist strap otherwise you could eazily throw your controller at the T.V. My daughter also has the Wii fit and after the kids went to bed and her hubby had fallen asleep she decided to do the holla hoop. You have to do all the moves you would normally do when doing holla hoop although you don't actually have the holla hoop around your waist. At one point my daughter thought she was being watched or had that feeling you sometimes get and here was her hubby watching and checking her out. He said, What the hell are you doing? so guess you had to be there to get the funny but they had to chuckle about it.

Hi I too have a Nintendo Wii game console not alot of games for it though simply because the brand new released games cost upward from $30.00 to $70.00 each however if you don't mind paying that kind of price for brand new released games i would suggest Food Networks... Cook or be Cooked its a Wii game that allows the player to experience what it takes to be a chef creating dishes that will face criticism at the judging table... actually a kitchen table with 2 cartoon judges you have to be fast on your feet and time each and every food prep... and cooking step with such precision otherwise you may undercook or overcook your food... its movements are very engaging esp the up down up down cutting of carrots, potatoes and peeling of vegetables etc... if you need more info about the game visit youtube.com and type in Food Network cook or be cooked...

Hey Bob, Hope your enjoying life as it should be. We got that wii that had the boxing on it and it has been a work out for this ole drunk that used to think I could whip anybody. I don't know much about the games and stuff but I mainly wanted to wish you Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year. Keep a smile on, even if you don't feel like it!
