Hi guys! Merry Christmas.
How is your Christmas?
Today I don't received any gift. Or I give gift to anybody.
I don't feel its Christmas day today.
..
I went to bed 12pm not because I'm waiting for the midnight but because I'm waiting for my reliever. You see my mom is sick and because also of aging. She sometimes stand alone. And we are afraid that she fall because she has a weak knees.
I wake early in the morning to check her and stayed their to watch her.
In short I'm lack of slip.

Hello I am sorry it doesn't feel like Christmas for you don't feel bad it feels like just another day for me as well. I have no presents to give and family is out of town because my grandma fell and in a rehab she broke her hip. And I am not cooking too much maybe a little something later. You take care of your mom and thank God you have her that would be a present to me just to have her there. So I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sorry to hear about your mom, I hope she feels better. My parents are really sick too so I understand what you are going through. We are just happy they are still here for another Christmas.
About the gifts try not to think about it because it is really not about the presents. If you think about the reason for the season, and think about how fortunate you are to still have your parents with you today.

Yeah..But at her condition..I think not. She's alive alright but how about our lives?
You get what I mean? We don't have a life for pass two years because she's in and out of hospital for two years.

Hi friend...
I'm sorry that you feel sad during Christmas eve.
You are not alone in saying that Christmas spirit is no longer alive.
We are facing so many problems lately and that is not a good thing...right.
But we must stay happy and optimistic or else this life we are living will
forever torture us. Let's make a difference.

Its already a torture living for the past two years.
It does not make a difference if we want christmas to be a happy day.
When reality checks in..
We know how life is becoming miserable day after day.
merry christmas.

I don't have any gifts received this Christmas and I am not expecting one. With the gift of life that I got, I felt blessed everyday. I got what I want but after having it all, I still felt empty. When I lost them, I don't feel I wanted to have those material things again. It does not make me happy. I rather gave gifts but exclusive to my family only and not to my friends. Being myself all the time and sometimes not....

Christmas is the one day that I would hate to feel like ordinary, aside from my birthday. I love Christmas, and as much as possible I try my best to fill it with lots of fun activities. With the ongoing economic recession, most people feel sad because they are used to having lots of money and gifts on the day of Christmas. In other words, no money, no happy Christmas, which shouldn't be the case. People should learn see the blessings in small things.
bulastika, your Christmas may not be as happy as you wanted it to be, but you should still be thankful that you have your mom with you, even if she's sick.
Be happy! :)
God bless.

Thankful. Theirs no time to be thankful. Lets face reality.
My mom is sick for two years..
Financially draining and we have no decent living in two years.
..
You want me to thank little things that is nice to us.
..
I call it sense of denial..
For example I bought 10 apples and when I reach home I found out that 9 of the apples are rotten then I will say to myself be thankful you still have 1 good apple left.
Damn.. how can you be thankful if you bought 10 apples and only 1 is edible?
Merry Christmas.

I've had that happen to me 1 year where I didn't feel in the Christmas spirit. I was depressed at the time. this year however i'm in the christmas spirit and feel better. i guess its because your worried about your moms health and tired that you might not be perked up for Christmas. I worry about my fathers illness too which can get me tired. i try not to because theres not much i can do. he has seizures and fell hundreds of times. its hard but i got help from other family as well. hopefully something can cheer you up. Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to.
What can cheer us up if we have three helpers in out house. You see in just span of two weeks this December our helpers leave one by one.
Now we don't have any helpers and we have our sick mom to watch. Even thou she has a weak feet she stubbornly go downstairs unassisted and we fear the she will fool.
And if that will happen..and without maid its very difficult.
Especially if she will be admitted in a hospital.

We still had our Noche Buena last night but today, like you said, feels like an ordinary day. I am on my computer doing the same things I do on any other day. What makes me happy is seeing young kids enjoying the day. I m starting to believe that CHristmas really is most enjoyed by kids. Anyway, I have no regrets still because I have done the necessary things to do like attending the mass, greting Jesus CHrist, having noche buena with family and just being with my family. :D There's still time. we can still exert some more effort to make this day extraordinary. :D

Me I slept almost 1am in the morning of 25..Not because I'm busy opening my gifts it because I'm checking my mom. (She's old and have a weak feet but sometimes if not checked she will stand alone and walk down the stars. And we are afraid that she fall.

Thank you for a post about Christmas i can relate to for once. My family is well absent but living (this is the best way I can say it). They have made choices and personally I chose not to be around people that make unhealthy choices in their life and do not respect me for who I am. It is hard! The one fairly significant person that I had a relationship we both agreed we were done trying to make an extremely complicated situation work because it just hurts way to much. Me and the person that broke up you could say are attempting to find a way to stay friend, but it is awkward to say the best. So it is just me and Tigger (the cat). With working full-time and full-time school I just did not have the time to invest in Christmas. Yesterday was a pretty normal day. Today, I woke up played with the cat in bed with his feather. Got up feed him a surprise can of canned catfood for breakfast (normally he just gets it for dinner), but it Christmas. We relaxed watch a CD of Gilmore Girls that I rented from Netflix. Then, I got online and posted participation on Mylot! That was my day. It is nice to hear that for other people it is just an ordinary day it takes away some of the heartbreak and bitterness of the day.
Thanks for lifting my spirits!

Yeah..In our country to..We are the only Catholic Country in Asia and yet Christmas spirit is dying..Not because few believe in Christmas but because lots of people in the Philippines get poorer every year.
