There are many to play... What do you mean by current song? A latest number on the charts? I knew a few old ones to play, and I used to enjoy playing them. My easiest one was "You are my Sunshine". I just love that song. It's very beautiful and also easy. Then, there is this song "Tequila Sunrise" by Eagles. I think "More than words" shouldn't be a difficult one. I forgot the chords though, it's been a long time. Imagine by John Lennon ... I can give you many songs to play, but most of them are oldies which I have and they are fun. Which ones do you like?

thank you... Yes I mean latest. But I appreciate your participation and suggestions. I'd be interested to imagine by john Lennon. Is it easy? I like it when david archuleta sang it on American idol. I knew more than words too...

I think imagine has D major and B flat as the chords. I can't remember now. It's been years since I have played the guitar. I have to look it up in one of my books. It's kind of easy I think. If you know to do finger plucking, then Unchained Melody is pretty easy to play. I love playing this song.

Well, I've got some good advice. If you like to get into a new tune, you always have to challenge yourself. Of course, I don't know your level of guitar playing, but if you want to do something challenging for the right (left in rare cases) hand (the one that hits the strings), then choose the new song from Maroon 5: Moves like Jagger Capo 2nd fret, 4 measures of 4 beats Am, 4 measures of 4 beats Dm.. or without capo: 4 measures of Bm, 4 measures of Em. Especially good song to practice rhythm. If you like more challenging chords, try some jazzy songs like Autumn Leaves and learn to play some new jazz chords: like Am7: 5x555x or Em7b5: x7878x etc... Some cool books (The Real Book and Fake Book) can be found, they're full of jazz, blues, rock 'n roll, pop or rock songs. Enjoy!

First, you must developt your knowledge of chords. To improve that knowledge, you can visit 8notes.com, there are many kind of chords and practice that chords. Second, you can play the easy song that only use accompanied of acoustic guitar, for example, I suggest you play song like 'more than words' by extreme or others...

Anyting popular on the radio these days is pretty easy. You would be able to play a lot by just knowing a few open chords. And as far as improving your playing practice and practice as much as you can.
