Well, promoting a blog is not that easy. For starters, you can use sites like entrecard which will give some free traffic to your site. But do not use those sites like easyhits4u and others because the kind of traffic they will bring is useless. Then once you travel a little further, you will learn one thing after another like SEO etc.
Enjoy your blogging.

Yeah, you should signup with a link exchange site like the one I signed with if you go to my profile and check out my blog you'll see the link to the exchange site on the right hand sidebar under the title: Socializing is Incouraged

hahaha =D I do have a blog too, which i set up about 2 months ago?? But too bad, i'm no longer updating my blog, due to some reasons.. haha =D IT's not easy to promote it or even get visitors, unless u start it off from your frenz ^_^
If not, u can try promoting in whatever social sites u have, so that others will get to see your blog too ^_^ hehe

I blog and enjoy it very much. I have not made a lot of money doing it and am considering changing my hosting site. In the meantime, I have checked out every book I can get my hands on from the library on the subject. Little by little I am learning an awful lot of good information. I think it is a matter of educating yourself and experimenting with what works for you. I would suggest that you blog whatever you are interested in and soon you will see what you most commonly blog about. At this time I am considering dividing my subjects onto separate blogs so that they each handle a subject.
