Some survey sites are scams for instanse A.W. surveys, and I'd recommend that you stay away from that site if you are interested in making some on survey sites, because that site is waste of time. There are other survey sites, and it is possible to find legimate survey sites, but it depends where you live. Many sites don't accept members outsite the US, Canada or the UK.
Another problem is that some sites send you few surveys or send you surveys that you don't qualify for. I have made a bit of money on a survey site, but I think it is very slow way to earn money, and I feel kind of passive, because I always have to wait for the surveys. I prefer to write on online forums, because on those sites I can often write as many posts as I want. There are sites where you are only allowed to write a certain number of posts per day, but on many sites you can post as much as you want.

Both types aren't really all that good if you are trying to use them to make a living, but in myopinion the lesser of two evilvs would be paid writting. Servays are good but they take you in circles and you don't get paid much if anything. In fact most offer prizes as rewards instead of actual money.

I write for Demand Studios, Triond, and Associated Content. All pay though I have yet to qualify for my first payment from AC. Of these 3, DS pays most, but their are strict requirements. DS pay range flat rate is 3.50, 5.00, 7.50 or $15 per article. They have Revenue Share too, and sometimes I make above $12.00 on that each month.
For surveys I use Survey Spot and Greenfield Online, but the paying ones for me and that I qualify for are scarce.
I earn redeemable points on Polling Point. Survey spot recently started a point system.
